One thing I always try to do is make sure my wife has money to do with as she pleases. I work, she takes care of things at home. When she is able to find a job, if she so chooses that money will be hers to do with as she please. We make sure our bills paid, try to put some away, and go from there. Once we have all our household needs purchased (we just recently moved), saving money for things we would like to do and for future needs will be our next step. I will not let money be an issue.
