Former pastor pleads guilty downloading child porn

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A former Albuquerque kids' pastor caught with thousands of images of child porn pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday as part of a deal which comes with federal prison time.

Derek Schwartzrock pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography Tuesday, breaking down in tears while addressing the judge. In the next 90 days, Schwartzrock will be sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison, and according to his attorney, he'll be watched long after that.

"Up to a lifetime period of supervised release," said Todd Hotchkiss, Schwartzrock's defense attorney.
