Daily Kos: Storied NYC Church Yanks Ads from "Racist, Hate-Inspired" Rush Limbaugh Show

Speaking of, was talking with a friend just last night about Mr. Limbaugh. I didn't realize he "moved" his show. Why the hell would any station "support" this sad excuse of a man. I don't care that he thinks of himself as an entertainer,,,

It's been a rough start for Clear Channel's WOR AM since Rush Limbaugh moved his controversial talk show there earlier this week. StopRush volunteers have begun monitoring the broadcast to let the public know which New York businesses and organizations allow their reputations to be sullied by his regular attacks on women, homosexuals, and ethnic minorities.

One organization that will most certainly not be allowing that is 5th Avenue's Marble Collegiate Church, whose founding in New York in 1628 makes it one of the "oldest continuous Protestant congregations in North America."

Marble is known for its progressive orientation, its leaders having spoken out against war as a solution and established the GIFTS (Gays/Lesbians in Faith, Tradition and Service) program in 1994.
