Today the New York State Assembly approved a ban on "ex-gay" therapy, a dangerous and discredited form of psychological abuse that falsely claims to change people from gay to straight. "Ex-gay" therapy, also known as conversion therapy, has been denounced by every major mainstream organization of medical and mental health professionals.
