This Ingenious Hoodie Could Save Homeless People's Lives

Normally I am all for innovative ideas that help the homeless, this, I just can't get behind. Many here in the US rail against the wearing of niqab in conjunction with a hijab because we consider it de-humanizing to women. How is this any different? Doesn't covering up someone's face tend to de-humanize them thereby making them easier to victimize? Joseph Merrick comes to mind.

"...[I]t allows the wearer to be in public, and remain somewhat inconspicuous." Ask Tryvon Martin how well that worked out.

Sorry I don't see anything good about this product and not just in regards to use by the homeless.

When Anders Hsi constructed a hoodie that zips up the front of a wearer’s face, he had in mind a person who values his privacy, like a passenger on an airplane.

But when a homeless man named Joe approached Hsi and was eager to try on the innovative sweatshirt, Hsi realized his product could take on an entirely new mission, Mashable reported.
