This is all I will say concerning the release of POW Bowe Bergdahl,,,

1]  The Republicans knew since the fall of 2011 about the negotiations concerning Bergdahl's release and the "rumors."  The talking point that this totally caught them by surprise is bullshit.

2]  The Reich's tap dance concerning Bergdahl's release is disgraceful and disgusting.  As recently as six months ago pleadings and petitions for negotiating his release were being spearheaded by the same people now bashing President Obama.

3]  The President is the Commander-in-Chief, "Prisoner exchanges are one of the few areas in which the president has the authority to act unilaterally."
,,,

"Article II of the Constitution gives the president broad authority over prisoners of war, because he’s the military’s commander-in-chief. In fact, the argument that the Obama administration is making to justify releasing the Taliban 5 in exchange for Bergdahl is the same argument that President George W. Bush made for establishing Guantanamo Bay in the first place (an argument that Obama, and others, had considerable problems with)."

4]  In 1973 a series of diplomatic negotiations, aka Operation Homecoming, made possible the return of American POWs held by North Vietnam. One of those returning POWs was John Sidney McCain III, currently the Republican Senator from Arizona.  After 5 1/2 years of captivity a negotiated deal brought him home.  So much for not towing the party line.

And lest anyone forget, like many POWs before him and many after, McCain eventually made an anti-American propaganda confession. "I had learned what we all learned over there: Every man has his breaking point. I had reached mine."

And finally, for those of you calling for Bergdahl's head on a platter.  First you will have to prove desertion which will be difficult because you cannot prove he intended to leave permanently,  ",,, and that may not have been the first time he left the post without permission, according to officials familiar with the probe."

Also consider, there has been only one military execution for desertion  since the Civil War. That man was Pvt. Eddie Slovik during World War II.

Think critically people for your own sanity!!
