Ex-Gay Pastor: 'Anyone With A Brain' Realizes Gay People Shouldn't Be Treated Equally | Right Wing Watch

Ed Brayton over at Dispatches from the Culture Wars sums it up quite well, "I’m sorry, you seem to have mistaken the United States for ancient Israel. That was a theocracy, this is a limited democracy. And since marriage is, in fact, a legal designation, the government does get to decide such things whether you like it or not. You might as well declare that leprechauns or unicorns get to decide the matter."
“They’re basically marching in with their fist shaking, saying, ‘We demand equality, homosexuality is equivalent to heterosexuality.’ Folks, it is not, anyone with a brain realizes it is not equal,” he said. “People have strayed so far away from God’s design of marriage. Marriage isn’t to be decided by a government or judges or courts, this is God, God is the one who designed this.”
My question to Bennett would be which of the 12 general principles of marriage does he espouse? As Roste points out, "The Biblical view of marriage is not monogamous: it is not necessarily based on love, nor on any amount of mutuality.
