UPS breach: Credit card data may have been stolen from 51 locations - MarketWatch

Customers who paid by credit card at 51 UPS Store locations across 24 states beware: Your information may have been siphoned by cybercriminals.

The company said Wednesday that information about customers who visited the locations between Jan. 20 and Aug. 11 of this year “may have been exposed,” including names, addresses, emails and payment card details. The affected stores saw about 105,000 transactions during the time window in which malware infected their systems, and The UPS Store is still investigating, spokeswoman Nicole Cox told MarketWatch. She said The UPS Store averages six to eight million transactions monthly across 4,470 locations.
