Detectives have arrested a man who has been a pastor at numerous churches throughout the area for capital sexual battery.
On November 5, HCSO detectives arrested 72-year-old Patrick Shiver at his home. According to investigators, approximately 30 to 40 years ago Shiver performed sexual acts on an 11-year-old female victim.
During a controlled telephone call between the victim and Shiver, Shiver admitted to performing sexual acts with the victim while she was under the age of 11, and sexual intercourse while she was between the ages of 14 and 17.

Shiver has been a Pastor at numerous local churches throughout Hillsborough County and is currently a practicing Pastor at the Casa De Dios church in Wimauma.
