"You take God and prayer out of schools and you take discipline away from parents and teachers and you want the Sheriff to solve it? No. This is a community problem," Rogers said.

So, let me get this straight, this tragedy is just another chance for Christians to ignore the
Constitution and proselytize?
It sickens me as this appears to be a "tradition" amongst religionists. Find people in horrible
situations and rather than providing real help, they tell people if
only they had Jebus in their life, things would be all better. I see this with my personal friends and it galls me. It is the mind-set of "Get Jesus! The cure-all
for life!"
Have "they" forgotten that our current prison population
consists of less than 1% who self identify as atheist (28.7% identify
as Protestant and 24% Catholic). Just as God can't regenerate amputated
limbs, he can't prevent crime either.
As "the Sheriff" all one asks is that you do your fucking job and leave your religious rhetoric at home. It inspires so much confidence when "the Sheriff" thinks that dealing with crime is not his problem. Our society is so
fixated on religion and uses it as an excuse for almost everything that
goes wrong, escaping the need for personal responsibility. It is almost as if "we" have never learned to act like civilized human
being without invoking God and using Satan as a scapegoat.
Law enforcement reacts to fatal shooting of Elkhart teenager - Fox 28: South Bend, Elkhart IN News, Weather, Sports
Welcome to H&C,,, where I aggregate news of interest. Primary topics include abuse with "the church", LGBTQI+ issues, cults - including anti-vaxxers, and the Dominionist and Theocratic movements. Also of concern is the anti-science movement with interest in those that promote garbage like homeopathy, chiropractic and the like. I am an atheist and anti-theist who believes religious mythos must be die and a strong supporter of SOCAS.
