Prepare yourselves now and take heed – the right-wing Christians are predicting that a “major shift or disaster” is being planned by God to punish us all for the great sin of marriage equality.

Oh, I so wish I was joking.

Sandy Rios of the American Family Association took to the airwaves on Friday to warn the world of the impending doom faced by us all for treating human beings like. . . well, human beings. Apparently her version of “The Almighty” doesn’t take kindly to people being kind to one another.

Sound reasonable? Certainly not in the sense of “this will actually happen” because let’s face it, there isn’t a chance in hell that the world will end because “Adam and Steve” are finally given equal rights to file a joint tax return. Sandy Rios seems to think so, though – most other reasonable, rational people, not so much.
