A former teacher at Trinity Christian School in Shorewood pleaded
guilty on Friday to sending inappropriate text messages to a 13-year-old
girl last year.
Lemuel V. Elechicon, 51, of Crest Hill, was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Elechicon will only have to serve three months of his six months
sentence with day-for-day credit, said Charles B. Pelkie, the spokesman
for the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office.

In April 2017, Shorewood Deputy Police Chief Jason Barten said the
police department was notified that Elechicon and the teen had been
exchanging text messages for about two months. The girl’s parents
contacted police after being notified by the parents of a friend of the
victim, Barten said.
Former Christian school teacher pleads guilty to child grooming charge | The Herald-News
Welcome to H&C,,, where I aggregate news of interest. Primary topics include abuse with "the church", LGBTQI+ issues, cults - including anti-vaxxers, and the Dominionist and Theocratic movements. Also of concern is the anti-science movement with interest in those that promote garbage like homeopathy, chiropractic and the like. I am an atheist and anti-theist who believes religious mythos must be die and a strong supporter of SOCAS.
