Former church employee convicted of child sex abuse – The Rock River Times

A former employee of a Rockford church has been found guilty of having a sexual relationship with a child.

Charles M. Tucker, 50, was found guilty on March 26 of four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and nine counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after a bench trial in front of Judge Rosemary Collins.

In July 2013, Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies followed up on an allegation that Tucker had a sexual relationship with a girl younger than 13 when he was an employee of North Love Baptist Church in Rockford. Police later found that some of the abuse happened at the church while Tucker, then 42, was working.
