One issue I made perfectly clear during my last hospital stay,,,no clergy nor lay clergy. In fact I argued with the admitting nurse concerning my being an atheist as well as having no emergency contacts (they are related). Paperwork previously stated, "not religiously affiliated." When I informed the nurse that was incorrect and should state atheist, she proceeded to argue with me. Details are unimportant ATM as y'all can guess what road that headed down.
The last thing a recent birth mother needs to be dealing with is some numb-nutz who thinks she will gain favor with her god or worse her church.
