A Carrollton woman is accused of injuring her 2-month-old
child after she reportedly told a family caregiver that a
ghost fractured the baby's skull.
Maria Benavides-Ruiz, 21, was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree felony charge of injury to a child causing serious bodily injury, according to Dallas County court records.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Benavides-Ruiz took a polygraph test and said she awoke in a panic in the middle of the night and threw her baby off the bed after he threw up on her.
