A 64-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegations he sexually abused three children under the age of 14.
David Kenneth Shurtz was booked into Davis County Jail
on six counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree
felony. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, Shurtz had yet to be formally charged in
Farmington’s 2nd District Court.
Layton Police
received a tip Tuesday that three girls had been sexually abused and
two other children had witnessed the abuse, according to a probable
cause statement.
