Pastor charged with rape has prior convictions for sex crimes | WKRC

A man who served as pastor of several churches in Hamilton was indicted on 10 counts of rape and other sex crimes.

A Butler County grand jury indicted Dan Broxterman, 56, on Aug. 8. According to the indictment, the rapes occurred from 2014 through July 2019. Broxterman was a pastor and the lead singer of a tribute band. He also faces charges of gross sexual imposition and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

Records from the Ohio Department of Corrections show Broxterman served time for gross sexual imposition in 1990 and 1994. The convictions were in Butler and Hamilton County. Mercer said she had no idea he'd served prison time for sex crimes.

    1. I would love to be in the courtroom during sentencing, but with my work and I live in Fla. Not doable.

  2. We are hoping he never sees the light of day again outside of a prison recreation area. How he was ever able to live across from a school and his current wife was ever able to get away with babysitting for children using care dot com (and claiming she didn't have a felon living in the house to get around their terms and conditions) is beyond me, but she had better be looking at some jail time as well.

  4. I would love to personally see him being sentenced. Living in Fla and with work, it can't be done.
