Ohio man posted about mass shootings, attacking Planned Parenthood and federal agents, authorities say - cleveland.com

Federal prosecutors on Monday charged a Boardman man with making threats against law enforcement, following an investigation that revealed he voiced his support online of mass shootings and lived in a house with 25 guns and 10,000 rounds of ammunition, records show.

Justin Olsen, 18, faces a charge of threatening to assault a federal law enforcement officer. Authorities arrested him on Aug. 7 on state charges and he was taken to the Mahoning County Jail. He has been in custody ever since.

Olsen used the handle “ArmyOfChrist” as his moniker on iFunny, a website where people can posts memes, photos and statements on a variety of topics. There, he told fellow users that he supported mass shootings and attacks on Planned Parenthood, according to an affidavit written by FBI agent Themistocles Tsarnas.

Man accused of ramming car into pedestrians over their race, religion: police | TheHill

Isaiah Peoples, used his car as a weapon to intentionally run over a group of people he thought were Muslims, and he praised Jesus after the attack. He is a Christian terrorist. Full stop.
Local authorities said Friday that a California man accused of ramming his car into a group of people earlier this week sought to hit them because he believed they were Muslims.

Sunnyvale police said they found new evidence that Isaiah Peoples, an Iraq War veteran, intentionally hit a group of people, some of whom are South Asian, CBS San Francisco reported.

The Tuesday attack injured eight people, including a 13-year-old girl who is in critical condition and remains in a coma, CBS News reported. Her father and brother were also hit.

Peoples has been charged with eight counts of attempted murder, four of which have a sentencing enhancement for causing great bodily injury. Each charge carries a possible life sentence, according to NBC Bay Area.

Feds: Indiana man linked to "anti-abortion extremist organization" threatened clinic attacks | abc7chicago.com

A man who federal investigators say pledged allegiance to the domestic terror group "Army of God" is facing charges connected with a threat to bomb and burn down Chicago-area abortion clinics.

Luke Wiersma from Dyer, Ind., appeared in federal court late Wednesday after threatening to blow up an abortion clinic to stop the "unmitigated murders of fetuses." According to court records he also outed himself to federal authorities by sending anonymous tips into the FBI warning of his intention.

"Luke Wiersma is a danger to society. He plans on committing crimes against abortion clinics. He has threatened to 'do whatever is necessary to stop the unmitigated murders of fetuses at baby killing mills.' I don't know what he meant but I think he is possibly planning a violent attack," anonymous messages to the FBI read.

“Two million dead on the side of the patriots”: How Alex Jones’s “Jade Helm” conspiracy theory got very dangerous very fast - Salon.com

Couple the Jade Helm theory with another Jones theory about a forthcoming civil war, and it’s no wonder why angry white guys with firearms are freaking out. Just over a year ago, Jones said on his show:
“[The government] needs the police and the military to wipe out the liberty movement, and we wipe them out. […] I estimate in the civil war, 300,000 police will die. I estimate that if the military marches out against the gun owners, half a million dead. Two million dead on the side of the patriots. Won’t matter, we’ll have another 10 million where that came from. But it’ll be a real war once they start it.”
Therein lay the seeds of his Jade Helm theory. It’s all about the military and the police provoking the “liberty movement” into a shooting war. And now, a year later, shots are actually being fired. What Jones doesn’t seem to realize (or maybe he does) is that this kind of rhetoric speaks directly to the itchy-trigger-fingered militiamen and self-styled revolutionary cosplayers who believe that, yes, the government is going to attack them and seize their weapons, so they should be ready to counterattack. And this is evidently defined as “patriotic.”

Domestic extremists suckered youngsters into gathering intel on police officers - The Week

Sovereign citizens groups are scary. For police officers, they're violent extremists. Now at least one group of sovereign citizens duped young people into collecting the addresses of police officers and other first responders in Austin, Texas.

An FBI alert from the bureau's San Antonio Division — obtained in August by the non-profit Web site Public Intelligence — details the creepy scheme.

Through late July of last year, small teams of "young individuals" combed through neighborhoods in Austin knocking on doors, according to the alert. When someone answered, the canvassers explained they worked for a fundraising group that helps students master public speaking.

As part of their training — the teams explained — they needed to learn about the professions of the people they spoke with.

The canvassers were then awarded points based on the job of the person they talked to. Different jobs were worth different points. The kids carried yellow note cards that referenced the 15 jobs worth points and their value. The list included professions such as nurse, doctor, and firefighter.

Police officers were worth 2,000 points, the highest value.

In exchange for points, the organizers promised cash prizes and scholarships. More cops and firefighters meant more money.

The alert also explained that the students, "carried a paper card stating the individuals who were in possession of the card were allowed to be doing what they were doing per constitutional law and they were not required to show any identification or be restricted from their duties by state or local officials."

The card carried no contact information for any organization. The canvassers showed the card to anyone asking questions.

In truth, there was no group geared towards improving the public speaking skills of young people. There were no scholarships or money. A sovereign citizens group — the FBI believes — conned the kids into doing their dirty work. This whole thing was just a clever way for domestic extremists to collect the addresses of first responders.
