ADDENDUM::OH this is absolutely PRICELESS!!

From FRC’s Facebook (‎Family Research Council) aka Tony Perkins

Hi Tony, I was listening to your broadcast today August 27. You had mentioned you took the ice bucket challenge and you challenged others. Please think about this. I was awakened to this several days ago by an evangelist preacher. This is a worldly thing. It seems innocent but it is not. You are becoming part of this world by doing this and I ask you to look at the list of people who took this challenge. Lady GAGA, Ophra Winfrey, Hilary Clinton, Basically every liberal and demonic rock star. Think about this, the terror group name is ISIS, When you do the ice bucket it is, ice us. We are not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed. I urge you to look at the list of celebrities who took part in this. Even Sarah Palin is deceived. Kathy A

To which FRC responds,,,

Kathy,
You can participate in the ice bucket challenge in an ethical way. Please read FRC's Dr. David Prentice's blog post at http://frcblog.com/.../send-your-ice-bucket-challenge.../. You can also watch Tony's ice bucket challenge at http://www.frc.org/get.cfm?c=RADIO.

A surprisingly rational response from FRC with suggestions for those that are opposed to embryonic stem cell research.  A "thumbs-up"  to FRC for not pandering to the bullshit of  evangelista Anita Fuentes.

The dark side of the Ice Bucket Challenge

So the other day I "shared" this meme on the group page,,,

Included was the following - I want y'all to ponder this inane meme,,,think really hard on it cause your gonna shit your pants with what is coming next (though it may take a few days to get further information),,,I'll give a hint, think Bill Schnoebelen,,,and no giving it away RR,,,roflmao!!

_____
So, in regards to the IBC meme,,,

Last night whilst trolling my own news feed I came across some of the most inane and insane assertions concerning said challenge,

"Warning! You May Have Been Baptized In the Name of Satan Unaware-Satanic Ritual Going Viral In USA!"

“I recently found out about the Ice Bucket Challenge and I really didn’t pay attention to it until a good friend mentioned that an ex-satanist friend said that this is the very same ritual he did when he was a satanist and was like a covenant contract with the devil.”

Hell the nutters are even bringing in the RCC's objection to fetal stem cell research:
In general, the church believes that adult stem cell research is more scientifically and morally sound than that conducted on embryonic stem cells.

A 2008 directive from the Vatican argued that “the use of embryonic stem cells or differentiated cells derived from them – even when these are provided by other researchers through the destruction of embryos or when such cells are commercially available – presents serious problems from the standpoint of cooperation in evil and scandal.”
But my personal favorite has to be this one,
"The ALS IBC is ritualistic in nature. People are chosen to undergo a form of water baptism with cultic god Oprah leading the charge “in the name of ALS.” The Bible is clear: “You shall have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). Oprah is a god to millions of Americans, and those who follow her doctrine and antics have tossed Jesus off the throne of their hearts – perhaps not intentionally … or perhaps so. Yet by following her seemingly innocent IBC decree, knowingly or not, they have cast Jesus off symbolically.
Currently I am waiting on a response from a representative of the Church of Satan as well as The Satanic Temple. That aside, keep this in mind, in order to be considered "Holy Water" this so-called baptismal water needs to be blessed by clergy.

And yes there will be more to come I suspect as you can't make this shit up!

This is the video referred to.  It is 45 minutes long and unless you are into pain,,,well ya know what I'm saying.

What if I told you that the good gesture sweeping across America called the "Ice Bucket Challenge" is actually a large 'Ritual Purification Cleansing' preparing for the Largest Human Sacrifice in History to usher in the Beast System? What if I told you the latest Fire and Ice Challenges are tied to the Illuminati and New World Order's bold Agenda of the rise of the Fourth Beast System, the Reign of the Anti-Christ? What if I told you that depending on how you decided to "cleanse" whether having water dumped on your head or being the dumpee represented turning someone else in or giving yourself up come that time? What if I told you the Ice Challenge was a hidden Illuminati code inviting ISIS to Ice Us? What if I told you Obama sitting in the "Iron Throne" back in May in a "photo-shopped" White House tweet was in fact God showing us the hour we are living in according to the book of Daniel and Revelation? What if?

One of many ponderings

Pondering,,,

The National Institutes of Health was one of those agencies. It was forced to slash an estimated $1.55 billion from its programs. Among those was the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. In Fiscal Year 2013, the NINDS budget was $1.53 billion, a $92 million decrease from FY 2012. For ALS-specific research, funding went from $44 million to $39 million.

Some of this was restored by a budget deal negotiated and signed into law in 2014. NINDS funding went up to $1.587 billion, roughly $35 million short of where it stood prior to sequestration. ALS-specific research, meanwhile, went up $1 million, leaving it $4 million short of pre-sequestration levels.

The ice bucket challenge will more than fill that hole. As of Wednesday, it had raised more than $31 million. That money, however, goes to the ALS Association for patient care and global research for cures and treatments. It does not go through the NIH, which still grapples with funding levels that science research advocates say is woefully short.
