UPDATED::Lawsuit claims Hamilton County Deputy strips to underwear, baptized drug suspect | WTVC

UPDATE::  44 new charges filed against Hamilton County Deputy
A grand jury indicts a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy on 44 criminal charges. This is the same deputy who is facing at least five civil lawsuits for alleged strip searches, excessive force as well as other crimes.

Deputy Daniel Wilkey landed behind bars for rape, assault and official oppression to name a few charges on the long list of 44 charges.
A woman is suing Hamilton County government and two Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies after she says one of them, during the course of her arrest, stripped to his underwear and baptized her in Soddy Lake, in the northern part of the county.

The deputies named in the lawsuit are Deputy Daniel Wilkey and Deputy Jacob Goforth.

Shandle Marie Riley claims in the lawsuit that the incident happened back on February 6th, between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Riley says she was driving alone, and pulled into a gas station, where Wilkey was, and bought cigarettes and gas. Later, Deputy Wilkey pulled her car over in the driveway of a friend's home, where her minor child was staying.

Police: Man who filmed woman at dressing room identified as high member of LDS church | WZTV

According to ore report, this is not Murdock's first go-round,
By one account, this isn’t Murdock’s first incident involving sexual harassment, which would also suggest the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints knew about previous allegations yet allowed him to stay in a position of some authority. Murdock is a high councilor within the Mormon Church, which is a kind of local leader who, among other things, serves on a committee to adjudicate “cases of serious personal transgression.” (Oh, the irony…)

FOX 17 News has learned the man Metro Police say took photos of a woman in an Opry Mills dressing room is a prominent leader with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Stephen Murdock posted bail after his arrest last Tuesday after police say he took photos of a woman at H&M.

Murdock’s wife also tried to get the victim not to call police, according to an affidavit.
Murdock is a high councilor with the LDS Church, FOX 17 News has confirmed.
