Sorry I don't intent to be a basher. I have never denied that Christ as a man existed; I have questioned his divinity. I question the existence of God. These codices, if they are proven to be legitimate only help solidify the historicity of the early church. With that said, what a fascinating find.
My only hope is that any findings come to light much faster than with the Dead Sea Scrolls; 60+ yrs is a bit long to wait. These artifacts need to be seen by all people, not just a select few. With our digital technology this should not be an issue. I look forward to the findings whatever they may be.
Could lead codices prove ‘the major discovery of Christian history’?
Could this be the biggest find since the Dead Sea Scrolls? Seventy metal books found in cave in Jordan could change our view of Biblical history
Welcome to H&C,,, where I aggregate news of interest. Primary topics include abuse with "the church", LGBTQI+ issues, cults - including anti-vaxxers, and the Dominionist and Theocratic movements. Also of concern is the anti-science movement with interest in those that promote garbage like homeopathy, chiropractic and the like. I am an atheist and anti-theist who believes religious mythos must be die and a strong supporter of SOCAS.
