(Yes I'm still) Pondering,,,(Pt 3)

Speaking of corporate interests and protecting a brand, I am pondering this:





a video of a sermon given at a church in Pennsylvania in 2010. It came to my attention last night as I was writing the above.

So riddle me this,,,

• When exactly did A&E find out about Robertson's view(s)? 
• Homosexuality was not the only hot button topic brought up in the GQ interview. 
• Does A&E honestly expect us to believe that after 2 seasons of filming they didn't see this coming? 
• Is this a "manufactured" dispute for ratings or real? 
• If real (and by that I mean that A&E was not aware of his views), why has the show not been cancelled outright and merchandise removed from the marketplace? 
• Think Paula Dean and the backlash she received for something she said over 20 years ago. 

 Some more points to think about.

In regards to the video: I dislike the practice of only showing "a clip" as too much can be taken out of context; applies to both written and spoken word (more on that in a later posting). So did a bit of digging and found the whole video in 5 parts from the church in question.













Oh and one final thought, exactly what part in all this did GQ play?
