A former Catholic priest in Maryland is facing 18 months home
confinement after pleading guilty in a scheme to steal church funds.
71-year-old Rev. John Mattingly of Charlotte Hall was sentenced
Monday to three years supervised release, including the home confinement
period. He also was ordered to pay $400,000 restitution, which was paid
prior to the sentencing hearing.
Ex-Pastor Sentenced In Scheme To Steal Maryland Church Funds « CBS Baltimore
Welcome to H&C,,, where I aggregate news of interest. Primary topics include abuse with "the church", LGBTQI+ issues, cults - including anti-vaxxers, and the Dominionist and Theocratic movements. Also of concern is the anti-science movement with interest in those that promote garbage like homeopathy, chiropractic and the like. I am an atheist and anti-theist who believes religious mythos must be die and a strong supporter of SOCAS.
