California theatergoers flee ‘Avengers’ movie, lady leaps from balcony when man shouts about God

Waiting for the "Christian Persecution" brigade,,,
A man began shouting about God and jumped from his seat at the end of “Avengers: Infinity War” Thursday night at the Redlands Harkins Theater – leading to erroneous calls to police about shots fired, Redlands police said.

Just after 10 p.m., police started receiving several calls about a man who had leaped from the upper-seating area of a theater to the ground.

As police made their way to the theater in the Mountain Grove shopping center, at 27481 San Bernardino Ave., another caller said that 30 to 40 shots had been fired – prompting police to call out all available officers and paramedics to the scene, officials said.

Officers detained a man, later identified as Michael Ray Webber, 29, and learned he had stood up at the end of the Marvel film screening, threw his hands up and started shouting about God, officials said, and jumped.

And right on cue, from the Christian Post,,,
CP: Why were you charged with a misdemeanor? Do you think this infringed on your freedom to share your faith?

There are laws being passed in California that hinder Christians from preaching The Word of God, in Its truth, right now. (You can read more about that here and here.) The common thread I hear from people who disagreed with what I did is that it wasn't the right "time and place" to stand up and preach.

Christians need to realize that if we don't stand up now, there won't be ANY "times or places" left. There was a period of time in America where standing up to preach the Gospel would have been met with applause. But even in past times when I've preached, the message has been met with cursing, objects being thrown, and so on.
Now many other fine bloggers have noted but it bears repeating. Does Aurora ring a bell?  While I wont got so far as to call you a "terrorists" but raving lunatic does fit.  WTF were you thinking!!  Free speech does not extend to any privately owned premises without the consent of the owner.
