A 2018 summer intern at Long Hollow Baptist Church was arrested last week on a statutory rape charge involving a student, the pastor says.
Pastor
Robby Gallaty, who leads the multi-site Southern Baptist church in
Hendersonville, released a statement on the incident Sunday and is
informing his congregation during morning services.
"As
you can imagine, I am both heartbroken for the victim and angry that
this took place. In an effort to be as transparent and open as possible,
I want to share with you as much as we can," Gallaty said in the statement.
