Houston trans woman shot in convenience store parking lot - Dallas Voice


The suspect in the shooting of a Houston transgender woman remains at large, according to Houston transgender activist Monica Roberts, who first reported the shooting on her blog, Transgriot. The victim was shot outside a Chevron gas station on Richmond Avenue in West Houston on Thursday, Jan. 24. She was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital; her condition has not been released.

Investigators have asked that anyone with information on the shooting call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.

The 24-year old black trans woman, known as Pinky, was chased around the parking lot of the convenience store and then shot five times as she ran toward the door of the store. The shooting was caught on the store’s surveillance camera.
