An 88-year-old retired Roman Catholic priest was charged Friday in
Allegheny County with sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy in 2001 during
altar-server training at St. Therese Church in Munhall.
The Rev. Hugh J. Lang was charged with sexual abuse of children and
six related charges. He turned himself in without incident, according to
Allegheny County police, and was arraigned Friday afternoon by District
Judge Thomas Torkowsky in Munhall and released on his own recognizance.
He had been suspended in August
when the Diocese of Pittsburgh learned of the allegation against him.
In retirement, Father Lang had still been presiding at Mass at St. Anne
Parish in Castle Shannon.

Welcome to H&C,,, where I aggregate news of interest. Primary topics include abuse with "the church", LGBTQI+ issues, cults - including anti-vaxxers, and the Dominionist and Theocratic movements. Also of concern is the anti-science movement with interest in those that promote garbage like homeopathy, chiropractic and the like. I am an atheist and anti-theist who believes religious mythos must be die and a strong supporter of SOCAS.
