Today, she posted this with no explanation (again as I discover).
Notice, she again uses "associated with" to cover her ass. By now, after almost 2 years of her garbage Google Science, y'all should be aware that she means my JJ can "reverse" (ie cure) anything. In Jilly's world, viruses on a weak body means you're on a death trajectory. Or as she put it earlier today,
JFC Jillian, couldn't you at least dig up a different article than the one from June?
As I mention back in June, this review paper "discusses recent advances in the understanding of the pathogenesis (the development of a disease and the chain of events leading to that disease) of alopecia areata, focusing on immunobiology and hormonal aspects of hair follicles (HFs)."
To take that a step further,
The immunosuppressive milieu of the anagen hair bulb modulated by immunosuppressive factors is known as “hair follicle immune privilege.” The collapse of the hair follicle immune privilege leads to autoimmune reactions against hair follicle autoantigens. Alopecia areata is sometimes triggered by viral infections such as influenza that causes excess production of interferons (IFN). IFN-γ is one of the key factors that lead to the collapse of immune privilege.IOWs, sometimes AA is triggered by viral infections causing the collapse of immune privilege. The body attacks its own hair follicles.
There's a big elephant in the room, a technicality in all honesty, but important to note. Baldness is the state of lacking hair (common types include male-pattern hair loss, female-pattern hair loss, a thinning of hair known as telogen effluvium, and alopecia areata). Alopecia, while considered a type of baldness. is a medical condition, an auto-immune disorder. In the majority of cases, hair falls out in small patches around the size of a quarter and the condition resolves itself.
Two very important point to stress, alopecia areata is not a sign of cancer AND there is currently no cure for alopecia areata. So your SOL Jillian, your slop wont help!!
