Lebanon woman charged with crashing into multiple cars says 'God told her to do it'

A Lebanon woman accused of intentionally crashing into a car Tuesday night, causing a chain reaction crash, said she did it because "God told her to do it," according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The incident took place at 8:22 p.m. on Columbus Avenue. A total of five cars were involved, some with children inside.

"What we thought was an injury crash to begin with turned out to be an intentional act where a lady had intentionally rammed several cars on Columbus Avenue," said Lt. Chuck O'Bryon, commander of OSHP's Lebanon post.

According to a police report obtained by WLWT, Mary Klawitter admitted she was driving around 100 mph when she intentionally caused the crash.
