TWATs28(NOT)Edit for 6/26/22

This post contains original video!!

Another comment:

We need to stop giving months or days to subgroups. By doing so, remake offshore of the differences. Back in my 20's I was in an area with a lot of homosexuality men. I always supported them, in the belief that they should have the same rights as heterosexual. I believed that if they had a job with benefits to them and their families. Now, years later, I feel like those people are now trying to punish people that don't are white to eye with them. They have weapons their support. Now they do things like force people with different ideas, to accept their ideas, and they try to brainwash their children. They make fun of others at times, exactly as they used to complain about how people treated them. The problem is that they are showing a future in which people will again find homosexuality to be a disorder, and homosexuals will again have to go back in the closet, to avoid violent retribution. Instead of enjoying their new found freedoms, they are trying to fight a war in which will bring about hatred and again towards them. Keep acting the way that you have been, and you will end up bringing out crazy, violent people to action against you. I really do not want to see that, but....

So IOWs what you are saying is stay in your own lane!! I'm sorry, being told I should be jailed or executed because I love differently than so-called normies, is morally repugnant.

Creaky Blinder recently published this wonderful take down of Matt Powell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ec8pDSE--A Highly recommend!!

These assholes lie so much that they don't even remember what they lied about. Pastor and former GOP congressional candidate, Mark Burns, has attempted to backtrack on comments he made recently about executing people who promote LGBTQ rights. On The Stew Peters Show a couple of weeks ago, he said parents who support their LGBTQ kids should be charged with child abuse.

While Burns didnt explicitly call for the execution of LGBT individuals, the original video
https://vimeo.com/718785461?embedded=true&source=video_title&owner=5657100 , demonstrates “conclusively that Burn was not answering 'two separate questions' but rather delivered one statement in which he laid out his view that those who are supposedly destabilizing the United States and undermining the Constitution need to be executed for treason.”

He went full Goodwin when comparing his interpretation of events to Nazis indoctrination of children in the 1920s and 30s.

This week, talking to conservative podcasters Diamond and Silk, Burns expressed his frustration at how his hateful comments had been reported. https://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/failed-congressional-candidate-mark-burns-falsely-claims-he-never-called-for-executing-those-who-promote-lgbt-indoctrination/

If the shoes fit dude, get comfy wearing them!!

I have had many critics express dismay over my interest in hate preaching, stating I should ignore it. I have had some go so far as stating they have “NEVER heard of such verbiage, it can't be true.” Or my personal fav, “well my church doesn't believe that” or “they're not True Christians.”

This next story is why I track the hate as I do!! https://www.whidbeynewstimes.com/news/oak-harbor-man-with-history-of-homophobic-posts-arrested-on-1-million-bail/

Officers from seven law enforcement agencies, responders from two federal agencies, multiple armored vehicles, a negotiating team and a police helicopter took part in the arrest Friday morning of a North Whidbey man who had been posting online comments about killing gay people and seemed to be especially fixated on the June 18 Anacortes Pride Parade, according to police.

The officers took 27-year-old Tyler R. Dinsmoor into custody on a $1 million warrant at his home on Lyon Road without incident, according to Oak Harbor Police Chief Kevin Dresker.

Dresker said the massive show of law enforcement was due to the nature of Dinsmoor’s online comments, which included violent vitriol aimed at the LGBTQ community and ominous posts about the gay pride parade. The chief said officers were also aware that Dinsmoor owns guns.

It gets worse,,,

In various posts, Dinsmoor wrote that God hates gay people, that “sodomites all deserve to die,” that he wants the death penalty for all gay people and that “all homosexuals are child-rapists in wait, and all (every single one) should be put to death immediately,” the report states. He called another online commenter “a (slur for homosexual) sympathizer worthy of death.” He wrote that “it’s not murder if it’s a justified killing.”

Hemant Mehta illustrates well Dinsmoor's online vitriol. https://onlysky.media/hemant-mehta/new-ifb-church-member-arrested-for-threatening-to-kill-lgbtq-people/ Most importantly, Dinsmoor is NIFBY. “One thing that’s gone unmentioned in all of the news coverage surrounding his arrest, however, is how he may have been radicalized by his church.”

Dinsmoor is affiliated with hate preacher Aaron Thompson of Sure Foundation Baptist Church, which is in Vancouver, WA.

Who is preacher Aaron Thompson? He’s a guy who’s repeatedly called for the murder of LGBTQ people. He always insists the government ought to do it, as a way to distance himself from promoting vigilantism, but the fear from critics like me has always been that’s his followers would take action on their own in order to please their God. Thompson might not pull the trigger, but he’s indirectly encouraging others to do it.

Just look at the dates of these sermon clips, all from May. They line up with the time Dinsmoor was posting or making many of his own threats. (See Hemant's article, wonderful resource.)

As I stated many years ago, people like Dinsmoor are no longer fringe. All one needs to do is listen to the hate being preached on a 24/7 basis. Sadly our government is doing jack-shit. The SCOTUS, is of late, is catering to the Reich.

This is what happens since the GQP have made statements decrying drag queens being allowed near kids. https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2022/06/man-threatened-show-kill-somebody-drag-queens-performed-kids-school/

A Vermont resident could be facing jail time after threatening a local school if his daughter becomes near a transgender person or drag queen at her school. The man is Shane Gobeil and he threatened to “show up and kill somebody” when conversing with two students of the school in a New Hampshire store.

,,,

“The school’s changing,” Gobeil said. “Before you know it, there’s going to be a drag queen show and, you know what, I’m probably going to show up and kill somebody. A lot of bodies.”

“You understand?” he said. “If you guys ever do that to Canaan and my daughter’s in that school, be ready for God’s wrath.”

,,,

This isn’t the first time he’s been a menace to Canaan Schools. Around the same time when he threatened the schools and the LGBTQ community, he was cited for trespassing on school property and found harassing students, parents, and staff about mask mandates.

If Uvalde is any indication of the GQP taking responsibility for what their rhetoric produces, I'm afraid this is going to become tragic.

Before jumping into this next story, https://www.alternet.org/2022/06/ron-johnson/ a few things about VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System).

One, “VAERS is not the way to determine causation. In fact, it’s not even a good way to determine correlation. At the very best, VAERS contains observational information that functions as a safety signal for the FDA and CDC, who have the resources and epidemiologists who can use other methods to determine if there is a correlation, and possible causation, between a vaccine and an adverse event.” As noted by Skeptical Raptor, “most of the so-called “VAERS data” used by the anti-vaccine activists are analyzed by amateurs, who have never taken an epidemiology or statistics course.” https://www.skepticalraptor.com/skepticalraptorblog.php/vaers-does-not-show-causation-between-vaccines-and-adverse-events/

Two,  VAERS data cannot be used to ascertain the difference between coincidence and true causality. VAERS tells us that there might be a problem, but it lacks specificity.

Three, VAERS is self reported. “VAERS reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable. Reports to VAERS can also be biased. As a result, there are limitations on how the data can be used scientifically. Data from VAERS reports should always be interpreted with these limitations in mind.” https://vaers.hhs.gov/data.html

Any conclusion based upon VAERS data needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I only mention this as Del Bigtree is at the forefront as whom RoJo is speaking to. Bigtree is the biggest AVer in the US.

Rojo's little hissy-fit is a perfect example of how not to use VAERS. RoJo shows the VAERS numbers and immediately jumps to the conclusion that "it's pretty obvious" that over 28,000 people died from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) which was caused by the COVID vaccines. No, RoJo, it doesn't show anything like that.

TWATs for Week Ending 5/8/22

There is so much shit going down concerning SCOTUS my head is spinning. I can only imagine what those I am familiar with working in the human rights field are feeling. I do know I have many depressed friends.

With that said, ATM I have no plans of adding my two cents, as doing so will only be excess noise on my part (subject to change). But do not take my silence as approval of the draft opinion concerning the termination of pregnancy. It is NOT!! I remember pre Roe v Wade. Granted I was very young but the stories I remember did not have a happy ending.

The elimination of Roe v Wade is just the beginning as many rights other than abortion will be under attack as well — from access to contraception (Griswold v. Connecticut), gay rights (Lawrence v. Texas in 2003 and Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015), as well as inter-racial marriage (Loving v. Virginia).

If the GQP gains control of the House and Senate, our Democracy is over. Theocracy will rule the day. All I can say is get the fuck out and vote like your life depends on it!!

Vaccination for CV-19 does not cause AIDS!! https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-senator-says-may-true-233002349.html While Ron Johnson didn't actually state it does, he didn’t really “push back” against Callender’s false and dangerous claim; he said it “may be true.”

What's worse Johnson is helping to spread an already debunked notion. If you remember, AVer Sherri Tenpenny https://interestinghmm.blogspot.com/2022/04/twats-for-week-ending-4322.html already has been refuted. Callender and Tenpenny run in the same circle.

And to be clear, there is no such beast a VAIDS. It is entirely fictional. The COVID-19 vaccines do not compromise the body's immune system, but rather stimulate it to recognize and more easily defend against the disease.

This is not foreign territory for Johnson as he has, in the recent past, touted AV talking points. For example: Anthony Fauci “overhyped” the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/politics/2021/12/03/world-aids-day-ron-johnson-said-1980-s-crisis-overhyped/8836267002/ Johnson has been an advocate for the unproven use of Ivermectin, https://wisconsinexaminer.com/brief/johnson-pushes-ivermectin-and-vaccine-conspiracies-while-local-officials-look-for-help-on-infrastructure/, and he also suggested in a town hall that gargling mouthwash could be an effective treatment. https://madison.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/elections/why-does-sen-ron-johnson-traffic-in-misinformation/article_84e18951-7047-5130-9a82-03bc1aa8b1cb.html

It is bad enough fighting cranks like Callander but when it's elected officials it makes it even more difficult. RoJo should know better.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Flag#/media/File:Christian_flag.svg

What a quagmire this has become; although, I am missing the why. I don't see this being a “relgious liberty case” https://ffrf.org/news/news-releases/item/40946-ffrf-supreme-court-ruling-on-boston-christian-flag-is-narrow-but-concerning IF the city is applying the standard equitably. Personally all flags should be banned but for National, State, and county type flags. Any flag displaying religious icon(s) need to be re-designed. But that is a “perfect” world.

From my understanding, the debate is whether the flag is considered “speech” by the government? Why, because the city program that allowed other private groups to raise and fly their own flags was not speech by the city, the court held, the city could not refuse permission to fly a particular flag because of the views that it expressed.

According to Nina Totenberg from NPR, https://www.npr.org/2022/05/02/1095943871/supreme-court-says-boston-unconstitutionally-barred-christian-flag-from-city-hal

"The key," wrote Breyer, was to what extent Boston actually controlled the messages on the flags. And the answer, he said, was not at all. The city's lack of meaningful involvement, he said, led the court to conclude that these flag raisings were not government speech—where the government can control its message—but private speech, in fact religious speech, that cannot be regulated by the government.

Enter The Satanic Temple who “is requesting to fly a flag over Boston City Hall after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled this week that the city violated the free speech rights of a conservative activist seeking to fly a Christian flag outside the downtown building.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/satanic-temple-asks-boston-fly-153541477.html

Lucien Greaves, the organization's co-founder, said in an email Wednesday that the group wants to show that religious liberty must mean respect for “all forms" of religious practice and religious opinion.

"When government officials are able to impose arbitrary restrictions on claims of conscience, or to abridge the civic capacities of some based on their religious identity, we fail to be a free, democratic republic,” he wrote in part.

https://www.scotusblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/20-1800.pdf - SHURTLEFF ET AL . v. CITY OF BOSTON ET AL.

I have heard of some stupid shit in my day, but this takes the cake. “Trump's infamous "covfefe" tweet was actually code for "the antidote to the 5G towers that were really designed to work with the (COVID) vaccines and essentially hack human beings."” https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=7954649241215624

In order for this to be “true,” it would have to be shown that CO (cobalt). V (vanadium), and Fe (iron) can form a stable molecule.

A woman who says she’s from a Nevada parent’s group unleashed an out-of-control rant on the Clark County School Board Thursday, attacking water rights, Planned Parenthood, school trips to Disneyland, claims about “sexually-confused teachers,” and even accusing one member of having a box of “pubic hair.”

The woman, who introduced herself as Stephanie Kinsley from My Children’s Advocate, began by attacking the school board for discussing a sex education curriculum. https://www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/2022/04/watch-nevada-parents-group-rep-launches-off-the-rails-rant-at-school-board-meeting-gets-escorted-out/

My Children’s Advocate has a website that appears to be anti-LGBTQ rights, anti-mask, and anti-CRT. On its Facebook page it is promoting Republican Joey Gilbert for governor.

Its most recent post includes these hashtags: #groomers #perverts #genderconfusion #childabuse #woketeachers #saveyourkids #pedos #satanic #evil #agenda.

I have heard some vile, hateful shit but this palls in comparison. “Radical right-wing commentator Josh Bernstein is confident that Ketanji Brown Jackson, Sonia Sotomayor, or Elena Kagan are responsible for the SCOTUS/Roe leak and wants these "three evil bitches" investigated for treason.” https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=766682580986597

Beside the hate, bigotry, misogyny and racism wrapped up in a little over a minute, dude has no clue what treason is. The United States Code at 18 U.S.C. § 2381 states:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

According to source, https://www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-baal-sacrifice/

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claimed this week that Democrats are "sacrificing babies on the altar of Baal" by supporting abortion rights for women.

During an interview with host Joe Pagliarulo, Greene explained why Democrats are upset by a leaked Supreme Court ruling that would overturn Roe v. Wade.

She didn't even read the fucking book, https://www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/2022/05/woman-demands-city-council-ban-award-winning-lgbtq-book-from-public-library-they-refused/

Tuesday night Washington state’s Liberty Lake City Council voted 4-2 to not force the local public library to remove a popular, award-winning LGBTQ book, “Gender Queer,” from its shelves. It was the second loss for Erin Zasada, a local realtor, KREM reports.

Zasada first tried to get the book banned by filing a complaint with the local library. The book, an award-winning graphic novel, a memoir about coming out as nonbinary has been popular with teens but is housed in the adult section of the library which anyone can access. It’s also one of the most challenged books in school libraries across the country.

When I started tracking the news for bizarre people and stories 20 odd years ago, most of what I found was well “hidden.” I was was told that was just conspiracy or fringe, now it is mainstream. And the more vile, the better.

While the Lt Governor did not speak these words, her presence at the rally provided explicit agreement with such sentiment. https://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/radical-conspiracy-theorist-stew-peters-campaigned-for-idaho-lt-gov-janice-mcgeachin/

So that does it for this episode, and yes there is more. With that said, I present to you Professor Plink. https://www.youtube.com/c/ProfessorPlink A YTer that respond to various theological and ideological questions and claims from a rationalistic and naturalistic approach. But he does so from more of a layman's perspective. IOWs he doesnt drown you in deep philosophical droning and explains the opposite viewpoint balancing the conversation.

January 22, 2016::End of the day round-up (pg 2)

Pastors deliver petitions to lawmakers opposing LGBTQ rights
Pastor Ron Johnson of the Indiana Pastors Alliance says GOP Senate leader David Long is the “source of the problem.” Johnson joined about two-dozen supporters Wednesday to deliver the petitions with more than 5,500 signatures opposing two Senate bills.

One bill would extend discrimination protections to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in public accommodation, housing and employment. The other would do the same but exclude transgender people. Both measures contain several religious exemptions.

\Michael Newdow Has Filed Another Lawsuit to Remove “In God We Trust” from U.S. Currency
The federal lawsuit, which was filed in Akron, Ohio, may be unique for relying not on the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause, but on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). In essence, Newdow takes the same argument used by Hobby Lobby to get out of covering contraception for its employees and says that the U.S. Treasury can’t push God onto atheists without a “compelling governmental interest,” which he believes they don’t have.
,,,
Again, you can laugh at all this, but remember that there’s a case that’ll go in front of the Supreme Court very soon that revolves around Catholic nuns who say filling out a short form to get out of paying for contraception for their employees is a violation of their faith.

If you have a firmly held religious conviction, the courts don’t get to judge how silly it is. Newdow is using that logic to make a very different kind of argument on behalf of atheists.
John Eidsmoe: Planned Parenthood Deserves 'Some Of The Blame' For Shooting At Clinic
“But I would simply have to say there that if we’re talking about a culture of death, Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry have in fact contributed a great deal to that culture of death,” he said. “I mean, every abortion results in the death of an innocent human being and they are cheapening life by doing that. So I think some of the blame needs to be right there.”
Ted Cruz To Address Church Led By Extremist 'Prophet'
Joyner doesn’t think America has much time left, telling viewers of his television show “Prophetic Perspective on Current Events” that President Obama’s re-election “could be the end of our republic as we know it” and that a time will come when “our only hope is a military takeover; martial law.”

Joyner cited a prophetic vision he received to predict that the devastating 2011 earthquake in Japan would push America into Nazism, and he has warned that gay marriage will usher in national destruction, a second civil war, divine judgment, a ban on men and women marrying each other and the Mark of the Beast.

He has also boasted of advising several politicians, including one unnamed U.S. senator whom he told that Hurricane Katrina was God’s punishment for homosexuality.

VFW attacks the three Republicans who voted against Senate VA bill - The Washington Post

So remember yesterday when I posted this little gem (summarized):
"At this point, congressional Republicans no longer even try to justify the rhetorical contradictions. When Democrats want to make any kind of public investment, even after a natural disaster, GOP officials insist every penny must be fully paid for without raising anyone’s taxes by any amount at any time."  But yet the House went on to  pass two bills to permanently extend tax credits that expired at the end of 2013 with ZERO offset.  In other words, "if Democrats want to invest in the public, the deficit is paramount. When Republicans want to pass a tax break, the deficit is irrelevant."
Well it seems that Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) have held fast to that mindset in a vote against a bipartisan veterans’ benefits bill this week. Sessions going so far as to say, "I feel strongly we've got to do the right thing for our veterans. But I don't think we should create a blank check, an unlimited entitlement program, now."

Also arguing,
We need to resist the temptation to create more entitlements and more entitlements, which is one of the reasons we are heading recklessly toward fiscal crisis,” Sessions said on the Senate floor before the vote.  He said Congress should instead focus on “reforms and solutions that improve the quality of service and the effectiveness that is delivered.”
Now bare in mind, the purpose of this entitlement program bill is to ease "healthcare delays for veterans by giving them more access to private care and allowing the Department of Veterans Affairs to open more clinics and hire more medical staff."

As Steve Benen writes, and I agree,
So, on the one hand, politicians routinely say the nation must do “whatever it takes” to care for our veterans. On the other hand, here are three conservative Republicans effectively arguing, “But let’s not go overboard.”
I am sorry but no amount of money should be spared when it comes to the health and well being of our military personnel.  Combat loss is one thing, but when you have veterans dying while in the que for help, that is a sad commentary on what we as a nation value.  This should not be happening:
The "cost of war" for me: Missing 1/2 of my left ham string, permanent nerve damage, diabetes from Agent Orange, joints shot from humping super heavy ruck sack, PTSD (nightmares, night sweats, 5 failed marriages, alienated from my family and friends, flashbacks, depression, unable to hold a job because of anger), feet drawn to hammer toes from being shot through both legs, constant pain, two shoulder surgeries, three stomach surgeries. Even after 40 years I am still not considered 100% disabled by the VA even though the Social Security administration does. I am still trying to get a higher disability rating after being denied 4 times. These requests take over a year to get an answer. Currently I am waiting a year on my latest request. (Spitzerone)

'Political Stunt': Republicans Battle Over Denying Health Care Subsidies To Staff

Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) issued a scathing statement on Monday criticizing Sen. Ron Johnson, a fellow Wisconsin Republican, over his lawsuit to block health care subsidies for congressional lawmakers and staff under Obamacare.

He slammed it as a "political stunt" and "frivolous" lawsuit that would, if successful, result in a brain drain of congressional staff from Capitol Hill.

"Senator Johnson's lawsuit is an unfortunate political stunt," the congressman said. "I am committed to repealing Obamacare, but the employer contribution he’s attacking is nothing more than a standard benefit that most private and all federal employees receive -- including the President. Success in the suit will mean that Congress will lose some of its best staff and will be staffed primarily by recent college graduates who are still on their parents’ insurance. This will make it even more difficult to fight the President and his older, more experienced staff."

Johnson announced its lawsuit in a Wall Street Journal op-ed and a press conference Monday, flanked by former U.S. solicitor general Paul Clement and lead attorney Rick Esenberg. He is seeking to invalidate a ruling by the Office of Personnel Management, which interpreted an ambiguity in the statute to say members of Congress and staff who are required to buy insurance on the Obamacare exchanges are entitled to an employer contribution.
