A woman is facing a murder charge in Las Vegas after allegedly killing her husband in front of their three young children.

According to an arrest report, she later confessed to the crime.

The arrest report says Carter stated she “killed him” because “he gave my son AIDS. That’s why I stabbed him.”

The report also says Carter stated: “I am the devil. God made me this way.”

Bronx pastor from Yonkers charged in gruesome murder of estranged wife

A Bronx pastor from Yonkers is accused of killing his estranged wife in gruesome fashion in front of her two grandchildren in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx. 

Victor Mateo, a 63-year-old Yonkers resident, hit his estranged wife Noelia Mateo, 58, with his car when she walked out of her house to bring her 11- and 9-year-old grandchildren to school on Oct. 3, the Bronx District Attorney's Office said.

Noelia hid under her car, and Victor allegedly got in her car, ran her over with it and then hacked her with a machete, Bronx prosecutors said. 

The two young children watched the entire scene unfold.

As 35-year-old Stanley Mossburg was transported from the Polk County Sheriff's Office to be booked into the jail for murder, he admitted to killing at least three people because God "needs them for the war."

The bizarre exchange between reporters and the man accused of killing at least three people, lasted about a minute and a half.

In that brief moment, Mossburg with a bloody bandage on his forehead, shook his head smiling, at times seemed slightly confused and stared down journalists working to uncover any clue as to a motive behind two gruesome murders in Winter Haven.

A Texas man is accused of killing his girlfriend and baby daughter with a pocket knife, saying God told him to do it.

On Saturday night, Cody Edmund Dixon was arrested at a Motor Inn in Baird. Dixon had two outstanding warrants of arrest for possession of marijuana but as officers took him into custody, the 34-year-old allegedly claimed someone was chasing him, trying to kill him and that God had told him to kill his girlfriend and their child, Chief Deputy Rick Jowers of the Callahan County Sheriff’s Office tells PEOPLE.

Minutes later, authorities received a call that a rancher had discovered a woman’s body in the middle of a country road between Baird and Putnam. Ten yards away, the body of a baby was found over a fence.

The 18-year-old suspect in the fatal, fiery crash that killed a 51-year-old woman Monday night told police that he believed God instructed him to kill himself, which prompted him to plow into another vehicle at a speed of at least 90 mph, according to his arrest warrant.

Jack Jordan, 18, was arrested for intentionally crashing into Stephanie Payne's vehicle at a high rate of speed about 10 p.m. Monday on Siegen Lane. Payne, 51 of Greenwell Springs, died as a result of the crash.

"Mr. Jordan stated that God instructed him to kill himself, therefore he accelerated his vehicle to purposely strike another vehicle to end his life," his arrest report says. "He stated the last time he looked at his speedometer, he was traveling approximately 90 miles per hour."

UPDATE::  Woman Convicted in Alien Cult Murder Case Sentenced to Prison

The final chapter of a woman's trial involving murder, aliens, and an online cult ended Monday in Monroe County Court.

Barbara Rogers was sentenced to 15 to 40 years behind bars for the murder of her boyfriend Steven Mineo in 2017.

"We are most likely going to be appealing it. It was very unfair," Roger said on Monday.

A murder trial is underway in Monroe County for a woman accused of shooting her boyfriend.

Barbara Rogers entered the Monroe County Courthouse Monday morning for her trial in the death of Stephen Mineo.

Police say Rogers shot Mineo in the head at a home near Tobyhanna in July of 2017.


According to investigators, Rogers and Mineo belonged to "Sherry Shriner," an online cult centered on aliens and the end of the world.

Rogers claims the cult turned against her and Mineo, and because of those problems, Mineo wanted her to kill him.

A prominent pastor found dead with his family after a February fire shot himself as their Cedar Hill home burned around them, police confirmed Friday.

Pastor Eugene Keahey's death on Feb. 28 was ruled a suicide by gunshot wound, according to the medical examiner's office.

The deaths of his daughters Darryn Keahey, 17, and Camryn Keahey, 15, were ruled homicides, after officials said they died from thermal burns and smoke inhalation.

A cause of death for DeAnna Keahey, the pastor's 51-year-old wife, is still pending.

The man who tried and failed to convince jurors that his upbringing as a Scientologist helped rationalize why he bludgeoned two people to death and set their bodies on fire was sentenced Wednesday to death by a Prescott jury.

The jury announced its verdict of death shortly after noon, according to a public information officer for the Yavapai County Superior Court.

He stands accused of using a hatchet to bludgeon his sister-in-law and her boyfriend to death and setting the house on fire to destroy any evidence. In a bid to escape the death penalty, he is trying a novel defense:

Scientology made him do it.

Kenneth Wayne Thompson is not arguing that Scientology turned him violent in March 2012. But he is saying his belief in the religion of Scientology helps explain his actions. In particular, he says, his devotion to Scientology's tenets led him on a 24-hour plus drive from his home in rural Missouri to the eventual murder scene in Arizona.

Prosecutors say the marathon drive helps show Thompson committed the crimes with premeditation, an element of the first-degree murder convictions they are seeking. On each, the state of Arizona will ask for the death penalty.

Thompson's attorneys will argue to the jury that the act was rational, if understood through the lens of Scientology. Thompson felt he needed to rescue a child, a nephew to his wife, because the boy's spiritual well-being was at risk.

The New Jersey pedophile priest who was found shot to death in his Nevada home had a history of hiring male prostitutes, and police believe he was targeted for death, according to reports and neighbors.

The Henderson Police Department outside of Las Vegas has declined to comment on John Capparelli’s “suspicious” death, which has been ruled a homicide by the Clark County Coroner, but the local Fox 5 outlet reported the disgraced and defrocked priest had a history of ordering male prostitutes, citing police sources.

Capparelli, who’s been accused of sexually abusing at least two dozen young men while a New Jersey priest in the 1970s and 1980s and appeared on a list of Garden State priests credibly accused of sex abuse last month, was found dead on his kitchen floor on Saturday with a gunshot wound to his neck, the coroner’s office said.

A 28-year-old woman was charged with first-degree murder after fatally stabbing her 11-year-old daughter Sunday morning, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said Rosa Alcides Rivera stabbed Aleyda Rivera on or around the girl's back 15 times before driving her to Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. Aleyda Rivera would have turned 12 years old Thursday.

"The suspect had said that she was upset that her daughter was having sexual relations with men or being sexually abused," Sheriff John Mina said Monday. "Based on what we know and what we found so far, we believe that part to be false."

Rosa Rivera said she believes her daughter is now in heaven because of her actions, the report said.

Grieving relatives say religious beliefs may have compelled a mother and her teenage daughter to allegedly massacre five of their family members — including three children — inside a suburban Pennsylvania apartment.

Damon Decree, Sr., the ex-husband of suspect Shana Decree, 45, and the father of suspect Dominique Decree, 19, told WPVI that both women had been “talking about demons being all around them.”

Decree said he believes the mother and daughter — charged Monday with murdering Shana’s two children, Naa’Irah Smith, 25, and Damon Decree Jr., 13, along with her sister, Jamilla Campbell, 42, and Campbell’s 9-year-old twin daughters, Imani and Erika Allen — may have been indoctrinated into an unspecified online religious group.

“Apparently, they had dissected into some type of cult that they materialized online,” he said. “I don’t know how or what kind of cult.”

Destiny Harris, the half-sister of the twin victims, also told WPVI the family had been “going through something religiously and they decided to drag the kids into it.”

A Washington state man accused of killing his brother has been charged with murder after he allegedly drove a 4-foot-long sword through the victim’s head Sunday night.

Buckey Wolfe, 26, who prosecutors said appears to be mentally ill, called 911 around 6:40 p.m. and told an operator that he had killed his brother, and that he thought he was a lizard, according to The Seattle Times.

“The defendant’s actions — jamming the tang end of a four-foot long sharpened metal-bladed sword-like instrument completely through the victim’s head and killing him — demonstrate the danger he poses,” Senior Deputy Prosecutor Scott O’Toole wrote in charging documents obtained by the paper.

Wolfe told the 911 dispatcher, “God told me he was a lizard,” and “Kill me, kill me, I can’t live in this reality,” according to the documents.

A Utica man is facing murder charges in the deaths of his grandmother and landlord.

Naythen Aubain, 29, was released from the hospital Tuesday and was arraigned Tuesday evening on two counts of murder in the 1st Degree.

“One of the aggravating factors is multiple homicides, so if you kill more than one person within the same criminal transaction that makes a 'Murder Second' into a Murder in the First," Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara said.

Aubain was brought into his arraignment wearing a spit shield and was forced into a restraining chair during it.

He interrupted the judge several times, saying:

I did it. I chopped her up.

Carly Ann Harris, 38, was suffering from psychosis when she drowned four-year-old Amelia before burning her body on 8 June.

After being cleared of murder on the grounds of insanity, Ms Harris was made the subject of a hospital order.

Her mother said Ms Harris was "not a monster" and the family was devastated.

Jaqui Harris added: "I've gone beyond tears. She is my daughter and I am devastated and I have lost my daughter.

The facts are not disputed and jurors were told to consider the defendant's "profound" mental health issues.

Jurors were told they must decide if she is not guilty of murder by reason of insanity or guilty of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.

The court heard Ms Harris described herself in police interviews as "a fallen angel and had to prove her strength", adding that Amelia would have to be "cold-washed and burned".

 A 53-year-old Jefferson County man with no significant criminal record has been charged with 17 crimes in the sexual assault of two women and the killing of a third at a Catholic Supply store on Manchester Road on Monday.

Thomas Bruce, of Geranium Drive in the Antonia area, was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and multiple counts of sodomy, armed criminal action, kidnapping, burglary and tampering with evidence. He is being held without bail.

Bruce entered the store on Monday afternoon pretending to be a customer, left, and then re-entered with a gun, charges say. He ordered the three women in the store to the back of the store and made them take their clothes off at gunpoint. He forced two victims to perform sex acts at gunpoint, and tried to do the same with Jamie Schmidt, a customer from House Springs, killing her when she refused.

A Ripley County teenager allegedly told investigators he took the lives of his younger brother and sister in order to spare them from hell.

“In my time here, which has been 19 years, I'm not sure that I've seen anything quite as disturbing and final,” Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel said at a press conference about the case Wednesday.

Nickalas Kedrowitz, 14, was the subject of a juvenile delinquency petition filed in Ripley County court on September 6. He faces two counts of murder.

John D. Miller died from burns to his head and torso seven days later at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, testimony showed.

A former youth ministry director for a Chester church effectively was sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars Wednesday after pleading guilty to fatally shooting his wife, his step-daughter and her boyfriend at the family’s home on Thanksgiving night.

In a plea agreement that came together unexpectedly in recent weeks, Christopher R. Gattis, 59, pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony use of a firearm in the Nov. 23 killings of his wife, Jeanett L. Gattis, 58, his stepdaughter, Candice L. Kunze, 30, and her boyfriend, Andrew Buthorn, 36, of Olympia, Wash., who was celebrating Thanksgiving with the family.

In accordance with the agreement, Chesterfield Circuit Judge David E. Johnson accepted Gattis’ pleas and sentenced him to 100 years in prison for each of the three murder counts with 45 years suspended on each. The three, 55-year terms will be served concurrently. Gattis was sentenced to an additional three years for using a firearm in the killings.

Man Named Dread Accused of Killing Friend With Bible, Said the Devil Was Inside His Room

A Florida man claimed he was “awoken by demons” when he allegedly killed his friend early Saturday morning with a Bible, pipe and frying pan. Lesley Satenay, 40, is charged with homicide in the death of 30-year-old Krystal Phillips.

Eatonville Police received a call at 4:22 a.m. on Saturday during which a caller claimed he or she saw a body in Satenay’s room at 16 Deacon Jones Boulevard in Eatonville, Florida.

Officers found Satenay standing outside on the porch covered in blood. Satenay, who goes by the name Dread, told officers “the devil was inside his room,” The Orlando Sentinel reported. He also told police he “hit the devil with a Bible,” court papers revealed.
