Memphis pastor accused of raping, pouring insecticides down neighbor’s throat

A Shelby County man accused of stabbing, raping and pouring insecticides down his neighbor's throat is also a local pastor with a criminal past.

Memphis police say 58-year-old Norman Hudson forced himself into his neighbor’s home, grabbed a knife from her kitchen and raped her.

The police affidavit said that Hudson hit the victim, stabbed her in the neck and then poured the insecticides down her throat.

He faces charges for attempted murder, aggravated rape, robbery and several others.

Woman Accused of Threatening Easter Service Posted Religious Rants on YouTube - NBC 7 San Diego


The woman accused of threatening to shoot congregants and blow up a Clairemont church during an Easter Sunday service has been charged with multiple felonies including assault with a firearm and child cruelty. 

The San Diego Police Department identified the woman Sunday as Anna Conkey, a 31-year-old former intern and freelance digital producer for NBC 7. Conkey is also an SDSU graduate and was in the U.S Navy.

Minutes before the incident, an email was sent to NBC 7 from an account with the name "Anna Conkey." The email was sent as a news tip.

"There’s a woman claiming to be the messiah, saying she was sent to blow up the foundation of the Church—she’s got a gun and a child is involved. Address is 4350 Mount Everest Blvd San Diego, CA 92117. There’s about 70 people in the auditorium of the school where the church service is held," the message said.

Police: 19-year old Enterprise employee spiked co-worker’s water with LSD | News Headlines | kmov.com

Arnold police are investigating an unusual incident that occurred at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in the 3900 block of Jeffco Boulevard last Thursday.

According to Lt. Clinton Wooldridge, two employees became dizzy and shaky and didn’t know why. The workers were taken to an urgent care center and then transferred to Mercy Hospital South.

Wooldridge said officers questioned a 19-year old male employee and he admitted putting LSD in the water bottles of two co-workers and a third employee’s coffee cup. Police said the man told them he did it because his fellow employees had “negative energy.”

Pastor arrested for strangling, assaulting pregnant woman outside downtown church

A Charleston-area pastor has been arrested and charged after police say he strangled a woman to the point of unconsciousness earlier this week.

The incident happened late Monday evening at Southside Impact Church on Beaufain Street.
The victim, who is eight weeks pregnant with the suspect’s child, arrived at the church to drop off two of their other children. But once she arrived, an argument ensued.
According to an affidavit, 35-year-old Rashan Lamar Wilson, who is a pastor at the church, lunged towards the victim, Shanaqua Genise Johnson, and both put his hands around her neck and squeezed tightly until she was unconscious for an undetermined amount of time.

According to court records, Wilson has been arrested on a number of other occasions ranging from failure to pay child support to driving under suspension and providing false information to police.

American Fork man says he rammed school bus to escape from Satan. He tested positive for drugs. - The Salt Lake Tribune

A man was taken into custody after he rammed a school bus with his pickup truck and forced another driver to take him to the Latter-day Saint temple in American Fork — because “Satan” was “chasing him.”

According to Pleasant Grove police, Brant Jay Diediker, 40, of American Fork, tested positive for THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) in a field urinalysis. Diediker was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of 21 counts of aggravated assault, third-degree felonies; three counts of aggravated robbery, first degree felonies; and five misdemeanor drug, traffic and damaging jail property charges.

According to court documents, on Wednesday at about 3 p.m., Diediker rammed his pickup truck into the rear of a school bus carrying 20 children at about 300 W. 1100 North and then again at 600 W. 1100 North in Pleasant Grove. None of the children or the driver were injured.

Gretna pastor vows to fight charges he pulled gun on transgender sex worker | Crime/Police | theadvocate.com


A Pentecostal pastor from Gretna said he plans to vigorously defend himself against allegations he illegally pointed a pistol to take back cash from a transgender sex worker following a botched tryst last month.

Wilfred Brown, who is 67 and describes himself as the pastor of Evariste Temple Church of God in Christ, faces counts of aggravated assault and soliciting prostitution in the Nov. 20 incident, while Brandon Smalls, 29 — who goes by the first name Kourtney — is accused of simple robbery.

Authorities investigating the case believe Brown was driving his car in New Orleans and picked up Smalls about 10:30 p.m. Brown stopped near Decatur Street and Esplanade Avenue “in an apparent attempt to solicit Smalls to engage (in) performing sexual acts,” according to a state trooper's report on the arrests.

Brockton pastor accused of assaulting 5-year-old during bible study | Boston 25 News

A Brockton pastor is accused of assaulting a 5-year-old boy during bible study, according to Brockton Police.

Police say the pastor told officers he nudged the child with two fingers out of frustration in order to get his attention.

However, the boy's father believes far worse happened, with a picture of his child's red face as his proof.

UPDATE::  Indianapolis priest accused of beating his wife is sentenced to home detention
Luke Reese, who in June was found guilty of criminal confinement, domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily injury, received a three-year sentence on Aug. 17, court records indicate.

Two years of his sentence are suspended, leaving him to serve a year of home detention with GPS monitoring followed by a year of probation. As part of his sentence, he also will undergo a mental health evaluation and counseling.

"Violent behavior among family members is intolerable and unconscionable, countering the core of Christ's call to every family to be a loving, respectful communion of persons," he said. "No circumstance or betrayal ever justifies violence in the home. As a church, we reject any behavior that erodes the inherent dignity of the human person."
A man who made history as the first married priest in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis faces six criminal charges tied to an assault last September involving his wife. Court documents state that part of the attack happened in the sanctuary of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he worked.
According to court documents obtained by 13 Investigates, Father Luke Reese is accused of kidnapping, criminal confinement, battery and intimidation.

Reese is a Parochial Vicar at Holy Rosary Catholic church in Indianapolis, and according to the Archdiocese, has been placed on leave.

The court documents detail an encounter between Reese and his wife on a Sunday afternoon, September 24, when Reese said he found her in the back seat of a car with another man with whom she was having an affair.

The probable cause affidavit states that Reese hit and kicked the man and ordered his wife to leave with him. They left in separate cars and eventually met up together and got into Reese’s car. She told investigators he locked the doors and began hitting her while they were driving.

American Citizen Arrested in Kampala for Assaulting Hotel Employee | Kampala Post

The police in Kampala have arrested an American citizen for assaulting one of the workers of Grand Imperial Hotel.

Footage from security television cameras installed showed a foreigner, identified later as Mr Jimmy .L.Taylor punching and humiliating a hotel employee.

Upon police efforts to effect his arrest Taylor spat on, turned rowdy, uncontrollable and tried to disarm policemen.

The suspect who claims to be a missionary and an ex US Marine is currently detained at Central Police Station Kampala on charges of assault and malicious damage as investigations are ongoing .

Henrico School Board member Roscoe D. Cooper III is once again the subject of a criminal court action, but this time the county police are on his side.

The situation may be related to the Coopers’ divorce. Court records show the legal fight went on for two and a half years before a court officially ended their marriage last December.

Last year, during the months leading up to the divorce, Mr. Cooper was arrested several times for traffic offenses, including one for drunken driving and two others for speeding.

Food delivery driver attacked by man claiming to be 'Jesus' | WSB-TV

A food delivery driver is speaking out after she said a man grabbed her by her head scarf and strangled her.

Sonya King told Channel 2 she feared for her life the day she was making a delivery in northwest Atlanta. She was delivering food for DoorDash at a house on South Grand Avenue.

The door was open when she said a 54-year-old man inside told her to leave the food on the counter.

"He's grabbing me and trying to choke me with my own niqab. I kept telling that man I've got kids. In the midst of me fighting him, he's grabbing my head," King said. "He thought he was Jesus, but Jesus wouldn't do that to nobody."

Man Arrested For Performing ‘Satanic Ritual’ On Girlfriend – CBS Pittsburgh

 A man is facing charges for allegedly performing a “Satanic ritual” on his girlfriend.

According to the criminal complaint, the incident took place in a North Huntingdon home in the 1000 block of Brownstown Road on Jan. 10.

Around 5 p.m., 21-year-old Kyle Parker got into a heated argument with his 19-year-old friend. During the course of the altercation, Parker allegedly used a razor blade to cut her hand. The woman passed out and Parker allegedly used the razor blade to cut the woman’s leg several times.

Spring Hill pastor accused of assault | News | dothaneagle.com

An incident of assault was reported Nov. 28 between a United Methodist pastor and an in-law.
According to a report from the county Sheriff’s Office, James Lenard Dykes, 70, of Midway, filed a report claiming he was assaulted by Joel Bates Miller, 61, also of Midway. According to the United Methodist Church database, Miller serves as pastor of Spring Hill United Methodist Church, Comer UMC and Midway UMC.
Dykes told deputies that he was in his shop hooking up his boat, getting ready to leave for Florida to go fishing when Miller entered the building. Trying to be friendly towards Miller, Dykes offered him a box with some bibles in it to which Miller reportedly stated that he just “wanted to get his things from the shop.” Dykes said he inquired why the other man wanted his stuff all of a sudden, and Miller replied he wanted to get his things out before Dykes stole them.
When Dykes asked for an explanation of the statement, he told deputies that Miller replied, “Like you stole your wife’s money.”

Local youth director, bishop accused of attacking young woman - News - Columbia Daily Tribune - Columbia, MO

A local pastor and executive director of Youth Empowerment Zone was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of attacking a 25-year-old woman who recently gave birth to his child, according to jail records and sources close to the investigation.

Investigators believe Lorenzo Lawson, 64, attacked the woman at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday outside of her home just north of Columbia, according to information about the incident provided by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department. The address of the assault is the residence of the 25-year-old woman who gave birth to Lawson’s son in June, multiple sources said. The woman previously received services from the Youth Empowerment Zone, a youth and young adult service organization, and was a member of the Chosen Generation Ministries where Lawson was a member of the Chosen Generation Ministries where Lawson was a pastor, according to former members of the church.

Pastor Charged With Impersonating Officer, Assaulting Teens « WCCO | CBS Minnesota

A pastor in southern Minnesota is facing charges for pretending to be a police officer and pepper spraying a teenager he caught shoplifting.

Keith Douglas Haskell, 55, faces five counts of misdemeanor fifth degree assault, in addition to the charge or impersonating a peace officer and felony use of tear gas to immobilize.

“I think he got what he deserves,” said Abraam Rodriguez, one of the teenagers at the center of the case.
