Pat Robertson: Leave 'The Homosexual Lifestyle' To Find 'Real Love' | Right Wing Watch

"We have all these myths about homosexuality and he was just being used by people, they just wanted to take advantage and he didn’t know any better,” he said. “He thought that what they were showing him was love when actually it was one form of lust. When he came free, he wasn’t ‘homosexual,’ he was a person looking for love, he wanted the real thing and he got it, God gave him real love.”

January 22, 2016::End of the day round-up (pg 3)

Some excellent citation in the comments as well,,,

Glyphosate toxicity: Looking past the hyperbole, and sorting through the facts. By Credible Hulk
You may at some point have heard people speak of glyphosate as being “less toxic than caffeine or table salt.” What they’re referring to when they say that is what we call its LD50, which a standard way of quantifying acute toxicity. A substance’s LD50 is the dose at which 50% of the subjects who ingest that amount will die of complications from an acute overdose, and it is measured in units of mass of the substance per unit mass of the subject (usually mg/kg). See, one of the most fundamental principles in all of toxicology is that “the dose makes the poison,” which was famously coined by Paracelsus, the father of toxicology. Most substances have some amount beyond which they become toxic. Many substances that are benign, beneficial, or even essential to human health in one range of concentration will become harmful if taken in sufficiently large amounts. Even water can be toxic if you drink enough of it. So, you can’t just look at it as though there were some toxic things in the world and some non-toxic things, or that something that is toxic at one dose is bad in any dose, simply because that’s not how toxicology works.

Here you can find a very brief introduction to concepts in toxicology, but for now, suffice it to say that students are generally taught about three main types of toxicity: acute, chronic and subchronic.
,,,
However, that was only a matter of acute toxicity. Many opponents are willing to concede that the acute risks are fairly minimal, but they worry about the risks of long term low-level exposure. The EPA took that into account as well. The EPA dealt with this issue by setting maximum safe levels of residues called “tolerances.” The USDA tests crops each year to make sure that herbicide residues do not exceed the permitted tolerance levels. If any crops contain residue amounts higher than tolerance levels, the USDA reports the information to the FDA, who has the regulatory power to recall foods, levy fines and take other actions to prevent the foods from reaching consumers.

In case you’re wondering how these tolerances were arrived at, the EPA tested glyphosate on numerous animal species. They then used the result from the MOST sensitive species tested as the basis for setting the Reference Dose. The RfD represents the level at (or below) which daily aggregate dietary exposure over a lifetime will not pose appreciable risks to human health.
,,,
Another issue worth addressing is the recent IARC and WHO reclassification of glyphosate as a Class 2A carcinogen. The IARC classification process isn’t designed to serve as a statement on risk analysis, and for that reason, it did not take into account actual common usage practices. They placed glyphosate in the 2A category, which includes “probable” (albeit unconfirmed) carcinogens such as emissions from frying food, hairdresser products and burning wood. It mainly pertains to application protocols rather than minuscule trace amounts in food.

Consequently, banning glyphosate as a knee jerk reaction to its recent classification would be similar to never going out of the house in the daytime because sunlight is carcinogenic. Actually, it would be even less sensible because sunlight is in an even higher class of carcinogen than glyphosate. Think about it. It’s in the same classification as manufacturing glass, burning wood, emissions from high temperature frying, and work exposure as a hairdresser. Alcohol and sunlight are both higher on their carcinogen scale than glyphosate, and neither of those cause cancer with conservative exposure either.
Startling new finding: 600 million years ago, a biological mishap changed everything
If life is effectively an endless series of photocopies, as DNA is transcribed and passed on from one being to the next, then evolution is the high-stakes game of waiting for the copier to get it wrong.

Too wrong, and you’ll live burdened by a maladaptive mutation or genetic disorder. Worse, you might never live at all.

But if the flaw is wrong in exactly the right way, the incredible can happen: disease resistance, sharper eyesight, swifter feet, big brains, better beaks for Darwin’s finches.

In a paper published in the open-access journal eLife this week, researchers say they have pinpointed what may well be one of evolution’s greatest copy mess-ups yet: the mutation that allowed our ancient protozoa predecessors to evolve into complex, multi-cellular organisms. Thanks to this mutation — which was not solely responsible for the leap out of single-cellular life, but without which you, your dog and every creature large enough to be seen without a microscope might not be around — cells were able to communicate with one another and work together.
,,,
Prehoda and his colleagues began to look into what genes could be responsible for allowing the choanoflagellates to work together.

“We were expecting many genes to be involved, working together in certain ways, because [the jump to multi-cellularity] seems like a really difficult thing to do,” he said.

But it turned out that only one was needed: A single mutation that repurposed a certain type of protein. Instead of working as enzymes (proteins that facilitate reactions inside the cell) the proteins were now what’s known as an interaction domain. They could communicate with and bind to other proteins, a useful skill for cells that have decided to trade the rugged individualist life for the collaboration of a group. In the wild world of pre-complex life, this development was orders of magnitude better than Twitter for getting organisms organized. Every example of cells collaborating that has arisen since — from the trilobites of 500 million years ago to the dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and you — probably relied on it or some other similar mutation.
All of the Reasons Why Tom and Gisele's Diet Is Actually the Worst, Revealed
Campbell has managed to fit in every single piece of dietary insanity on the planet into one meal plan. It's borderline impressive how someone can cram so much non-scientifically based information, fear-mongering of healthy foods, and just plain old bullshit into one neatly tied, organically wrapped package. Yes, the diet may sound healthy, given that it's loaded up on fruits and vegetables. But it also cuts out so much food that it's composed of more air than fiber. Do you have to do all that to be healthy? Let's parse through this hodgepodge of dietary insanity.
,,,
Notice that Gisele was gorgeous and Brady won a few Super Bowls way before this glorified hipster took over the cooking duties in their household? It's because their abilities and looks have very little to do with his cooking as they were probably eating healthy diets before he showed up. Their diet now does sound fairly healthy, even if some of the more delicious things in life are removed. A diet loaded up on healthy grains, vegetables, fruits, and some lean meat sounds like a good one. However, the arbitrary rules are absolutely not necessary, and all it's doing is showing that they have a lot of money to throw around on turning food into a game.

How do you eat a healthy diet? The basic advice still stands. Get your fruits and vegetables (conventional, organic, frozen, and fresh are all fine). Whether you eat meat or not, get enough protein to support muscle growth and repair. Get enough carbs to fuel your activity level. If you're not sure how much of all of this you should eat, talk to your doctor and a registered dietitian, but not a chef who arbitrarily cuts out food groups.
Pat Robertson: Beware Satanic Rock Music That 'Summons Demons'
“It depends on what rock you’re listening to,” he said. “Some of the stuff is just evil. They used to talk about killing your parents and there were just some other things. There were odes to Satan. You don’t want that stuff coming into your mind. There’s some beat that’s out there that, you know, probably isn’t all that bad, although in one Indian context, they were playing rock music and the person said, ‘Why are you calling on the demons?,’ because that was the kind of music they used to summon demons.”

‘Repent’ the gay away: Wife of Mormon leader tells gays to pray for ‘sexual harmony’ with God
“When we are desperate to become the people we were born to be, our vision changes,” Nelson opined. “We see the Adversary’s temptations for what they really are: tricks to make us forget our true identity and our destination.”
“We may realize that a burden is holding us back,” she said. “That burden may be spiritual pain which always accompanies bad choices and unrepentant sin. The truth is that unrepentant sin is like a magnet for more sin. So if you need to repent, start now.”
,,,
“We each need the savior’s help to become the people we were born to be,” she insisted. “Perhaps we need the gift to have our sexual feelings be in harmony with eternal laws.”

“When we are desperate for any gift of the spirit, that is when we will finally pray with all the energy of heart for that gift,” she added. “I pray that this year that you will have some moments of anguishing desperation that will propel you further along the path to becoming the man or woman you were born to be.”

“Your true self is spectacular, never settle for less.”

Tony Perkins: 'Blood On Our Streets' Because Of Gay Marriage, Family 'Confusion'
“The promise of strong efforts these past seven years to restore fatherhood and reestablish family life in our poorest communities has faded completely,” he said. “Instead, national policies have sown confusion about the very definition of family. President Obama has extolled the virtues of fatherhood even as he has fought for same-sex marriage, in essence saying two same-gendered person can parent as well as a mom and a dad. This contradictory message is more than disappointing. For our children throughout the country, it is devastating. It reduces mothers and fathers to genderless caregivers. Our children deserve better: They deserve a mom and a dad.”

“And we pay a price for this incoherent, ideological campaign by havoc in our homes and blood in our streets,” he added. “That’s why we have to re-empower American parents. The decision of our courts on contraception for minors, abortion on demand and redefining marriage have gravely weakened the family.”

January 6, 2016::End of the day round-up

King Crocoduck's closing remark is a bit apropos considering a discussion held the other night concerning my delving into the fallacies behind the "Tornado in a Junkyard" analogy. I had stated that instead of doing "real" science in regards to ID, the proponents sit back and "just think up" counter arguments regardless of whether science supports those views. Best example is Behe and his testimony during Dover v Kitmiller (2005) where he admitted under oath 'that evolution could not explain immunology without even investigating the subject. He was presented with 58 peer reviewed articles, nine books, and several textbook chapters on the subject; he insisted they were 'not good enough.'"

Here's what KC had to say to his adversary [6:26], spawned from the misapplication of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics - nothing can not be greater than something.
Your pretension that your philosophical ponderings on causality are even remotely comparable to the rigor and discipline required to understand the subject under discussion.

,,,[Lots of sciencey, mathey terms that blew right over my head and I wouldn't be able to spell if my life depended on it]

This is the arrogance that underlies creationism. This notion that a layperson, can sit back and idly think about a discipline that takes years to understand much less master and disprove it with facile simple minded arguments.
Sweet Justice?: Bakery Owners Finally Pay Fine For Discriminating Against Lesbian Couple
“Aaron and Melissa Klein are devoted to honoring God in every aspect of their lives, including how they conduct themselves in this litigation. Oregon law requires that as they appeal the Oregon government’s decision denying them their First Amendment rights, they must either pay the amount imposed by the Oregon government, or obtain a bond for the amount of the judgment,” Smith said. “The least expensive option to stay in compliance with the law was to pay the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries funds that will be kept in a separate account until they prevail in their court appeal.”
,,,
The Oregonian reports that the Kleins paid a total of $144,000 to the state this month; that figure includes accrued interest for their refusal to pay it earlier. At the time, they claimed they simply couldn’t afford the fine---even though they’d raised approximately $517,000 from various crowdfunding sites in order to cover the debt. “It's difficult to understand the Kleins’ unwillingness to pay the debt when they have, very publicly, raised nearly a half million dollars,” a labor bureau spokesman said in an October statement.

Despite that windfall, they say they’ve suffered for their refusal to bake the cake. Aaron Klein claims he was forced to work as a garbage collector after they closed their storefront location, and vandals broke into the business’ branded car twice.
We Want Debunk (1) : The Alkaline Diet

If you remember I touched on the acid/alkaline mythos last month. Guerilla Girl attacks from a bit different angle:
The website acidalkalinediet.net says that acid-forming diets are the cause of acidosis and the major cause of diseases like cancer, diabetes, and stroke. This is a red flag of pseudoscientific theories: several different diseases are attributed to one cause. The truth is that each disease is unique and has a unique cause. For the purposes of this post, I’ll talk briefly about acidosis and cancer.
,,,
While it’s certainly true that fruits and vegetables are good for you, it’s because they are nutrient-dense, not because they are alkaline forming. The alkaline diet seems very restrictive to me – it’s basically a raw vegan diet (oooh, another diet to debunk!). I have no problem with ethical vegans, but the vegan diet takes some work to do in a healthy way (see Ginny Messina, RD for more information). Most of the foods on the acid-forming list can be beneficial – fish, dairy, grains, legumes, even caffeine has nutrients and proven health benefits. It seems like restrictive diets are increasingly popular, and there is growing concern that they can lead to disordered eating.
The "disordered eating" issue is one I may tackle some time in the near future.

Pat Robertson: Beat non-religious kids on Christmas until they appreciate ‘blessings of discipline’
Robertson immediately recommended that the grandson should be taken “to the woodshed and let him understand the blessings of discipline.”

“He needs a strong male figure,” Robertson continued. “He’s going to wind up in a correctional institution, and the next thing you know, he’s going to be doing hard time in some prison. And then he would wish he wasn’t such a smart, you know, wise guy. Because he’ll be disciplined in a way that he’ll never forget in some prison.”

“He needs discipline in the worst possible way.”

In the end, the Christian Broadcasting Network founder recommended that the viewer avoid her daughter’s house on Christmas.

UPDATING: Alabama Chief Justice Issues Order Blocking Same-Sex Marriage Licenses
The Chief Justice of the Alabama State Supreme Court Wednesday morning issued an order to all probate judges to not issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Judge Roy Moore claims a previous order issued by his court in March remains in effect, and warns those judges that they "have a ministerial duty not to issue any marriage license contrary" to Alabama state law and its constitution.

Justice Moore, "said the conflict between the state court ruling and the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June has caused 'confusion and uncertainty' among probate judges," AL.com reports.

The Decateur Daily adds that "Moore's order found that a June ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court that struck down laws banning same-sex marriage in Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee did not necessarily affect Alabama's similar laws."

Ben Carson would consider banning gays from the military
“Well, I think the first priority again is cohesion, and the second priority would be that the commander-in-chief listen to the best military advice, so on a number of these social issues the best military advice has been thwarted and the administration has said, ‘Do this, do this, do this,’ apart from military and defense considerations as a priority,” said the general.

Tapper asked Carson if he agreed with the general’s remarks, Carson said:

“One of the things that I learned in a long medical career is that you make decisions based on evidence, and not on ideology. So, yes, I would be willing to sit down with people from both sides and examine the evidence and make decisions based on what the evidence shows.”
Nicol Simard of Atheism TV had the perfect response to Ben Carson
He be willing to sit down with people from both sides and examine the evidence and make decisions based on what the evidence shows? This is coming from a creationist? From someone who believes pyramids were build to store grain?

Please don't mind me while I roll on the floor laughing IN A PUDDLE OF MY OWN PISS because he made me pee myself, I laughed so hard.

Matt Carey offers a complete breakdown of the William Thompson debacle that began last year.

The William Thompson Documents. There’s no whistle to blow.
For those unfamiliar with the story of William Thompson, here’s a brief introduction. William Thompson is a CDC researcher who has worked on vaccine/autism studies. About 2 years ago he approached Brian Hooker (an autism parent and very vocal advocate for the idea that vaccines cause autism) stating that a statistically significant result was not only left out of an old study but that this represented not a scientific decision, but misconduct on the part of the CDC. It is worth noting that “statistically significant” is not the same as “proof of a connection”. Brian Hooker published his own analysis (incorrectly claimed as being the same as the CDC analysis method) in a now retracted paper. The result he presented was that there was an apparent increased risk of autism for one small subset of the study population: African American males, who were vaccinated not on schedule but before age 3.
There are some questions, of course, that this raises. Is this result very strong? Does the lack of inclusion in the paper represent scientific fraud or a legitimate scientific decision?
Those following the anti-vaxx movement are well aware of the stir this caused. Those outside the "bubble" should have been but the story was woefully under-reported.

The importance of what Matt didn't find: 1] The vaccines-cause-autism story is built on lies and it is very damaging. There has been nothing since the Kanner/Bettleheim “refrigerator parent” idea that has caused so much damage to our community. And that is the real story here. A group of people perpetuating a failed idea by carefully crafting a story.

In other words maybe now this trope can finally be laid to rest and science can concentrate on what it does best.   "And they [referring to Hooker and Wakefield] still aren’t calling for better services better diagnosis in these underserved groups. Instead they are just trying to recruit as many parents as they into the vaccines-cause-autism camp. Imagine being convinced, wrongly, that you participated in injuring your own child. The charlatans who prey on our community with fake–and sometimes abusive–therapies rely on the vaccine/autism idea for the majority of their business."

2] Science wins!!

I really should have written more about this debacle,,,sigh!!

Science deniers use false equivalence to create fake debates
This article is #3 of the 12 most popular posts on Skeptical Raptor during 2015. This article discusses how science deniers employ false equivalence to create fake debates.

If you read a news article, Google a scientific topic, or watch TV, you’d think that some scientific principles were actually being debated by scientists. The unfiltered information about important scientific subjects allows the science deniers to use a false equivalence to make it appear that the often minority, and scientifically unsupported viewpoint is equivalent to the scientific consensus which is based on huge amounts of published evidence.

From listening to the screaming and yelling, you would think that scientists aren’t sure about evolution, vaccines, global warming, and the age of the earth (or even the age of the universe). There are even those who think there’s a debate that HIV doesn’t cause AIDS. It’s because some news sources think there’s a debate, so bring one person to represent one side, and one for the other, and the person screams the loudest often wins.
An anti-equality faith healer is trying to build a mega-complex in San Diego
Morris Cerullo, an 84-year-old evangelical mega-church pastor and self-proclaimed faith healer and miracle worker, is proposing an 18.1-acre mega-church complex in the city of San Diego, California.

Cerullo, who was convicted for falsifying tax documents between 1998 and 2000, a conviction overturned on a technicality in 2007, has been flying under the radar in the city with this proposal that would include a religious retreat, underground catacombs, a Jerusalem-style Wailing Wall, an outdoor amphitheater and bazaar, a TV studio, and timeshare units for his followers.

The complex would be built on the site of the San Diego Resort Hotel complex which Cerullo recently purchased.

Evangelical Pastor Claims Giving Him Your Hard-Earned Money Can Cure Brain Tumors
And, not all giving is equal, apparently. Not in the eyes of God. Parsley takes it up another notch. According to him, if you give a specific dollar amount, then you will receive a “seed from God” in accordance to what you gave. If you give $37, for instance, Mr. Parsley says, “that is what it will take to receive God in your heart.” If you give $77, then “God will double” your reward. But, he doesn’t stop there. While those are relatively small amounts, he asks that if you are in really desperate need, $777 will give you an uncommon miracle. And, it’s a number worthy of curing brain tumors.
“The holy spirit is impressing on my heart, to say to you, release this word to you, so you can lay hold onto it by faith….because your need can be represented by a $777 seed (donation). You need an uncommon miracle. You need a miracle like that precious women whose childs brain was full of tumors. There comes a point when reason gives way to desperation and that desperation gives way to faith. That’s where you are right now, a $777 seed. Don’t allow this moment (to give), this God season to slip by.”
Jackson (Mississippi) Mayor Tony Yarber Has a Solution to the City’s Pothole Problem: Prayer
Everyone take a moment to facepalm at Tony Yarber, who thinks prayer can fix potholes.

Now be afraid. Be very afraid. Because Tony Yarber is the Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi.

And he continued to stand by his tweet when questioned about it. Because asking city workers to take care of the potholes would be too hard, I guess.
Jim Bakker Urging Followers to Buy Real Estate in Heaven
“Heaven has all kinds of property, ghettos, shacks, apartments, starter homes and mansions,” Bakker said. “Send in your love offering to ensure you have a palatial mansion in heaven. You want to make sure you are in a good heavenly neighborhood.”
City council member, pastor spar over churches as polling places
The pastor of New Life Assembly of God has withdrawn his church as an option to host a city polling station and accused a city council member of discrimination.

In an Aug. 14 email to the Janesville City Council obtained by The Gazette, the Rev. Michael Jackson said he withdrew the offer after council member Sam Liebert at the Aug. 10 council meeting said he preferred not to use the church because of separation-of-church-and-state concerns.

Jackson accused Liebert of discriminating against his church and pointed out that First Lutheran Church in Janesville already hosts polling for four wards. First Lutheran has done so since at least the 1990s, according to its pastor, the Rev. Jim Melvin.

Jackson wrote in the email that Liebert is “the one member of the council who should have been most sensitive to the issue of discrimination,” apparently referring to the fact that Liebert is black.
H/T Hemant Mehta who has a good look at the issue. ",,,a church isn’t automatically a problem."
You heard the man, we heathens have this radical idea that maybe our government shouldn’t place Ted Cruz’s religion above anyone else’s.

Ted Cruz to Jan Mickelson: 'Atheist Taliban' Attacking Religious Liberty
“There is an assault on faith and an assault on religious liberty that we see across this country and it has never been as bad as it is right now,” he said, claiming that “radical atheists and liberals” are “driving any acknowledgment of God out of the public square.”

“There are these zealots — as you put it, the atheist Taliban — that seek to tear down any acknowledgment of God in the public square, and it’s contrary to our Constitution, it’s contrary to who we are as a people.”

There's that butt sex again

Pat Robertson: Christians Forced To 'Bow Down' Before Gays Who Are Bent On Destroying Us
Today on “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson claimed that “left-wing so-called progressives” have “hijacked the Constitution and control the court system of America,” which has ushered in judicial “tyranny” with rulings such the recent Supreme Court decision on gay marriage. As a result, America’s Christian majority “are being made to bow down before the two percent who are homosexual.”

“We have surrendered the great freedom we have in this nation to an oligarchy of non-elected judges,” he said. “This is a free country.” The televangelist especially took issue with Justice Anthony Kennedy, the author of the Obergefell decision: “These five, and Justice Kennedy is off on this kick about the personhood and sanctity of personhood and being gay is your self-identity and all that baloney, it’s not in the Constitution but he’s come up with all of these rules.”
Or maybe not,,,

Cahn: America Should Prepare For God's Judgment For Gay Marriage In September
"I believe a great shaking is coming to America and the world," he said. "We have watched the apostasy of America continue, it has continued and it accelerating. The harbingers have not stopped, they have continued to manifest, which are indications of a nation progressing to judgment."

"How does judgment come?" Cahn continued. "It can come in the form of collapse economically, financially, the nation's blessing, sustenance being removed. It can also come in the form of natural disaster, earthquakes, famines, other things, many ways in the natural realm. It can also come in the form of man-made disaster, as in terrorism, war, as in 9/11."
,,,
"This summer, America crossed the line," he warned. "This was a tectonic event, a seismic change with ramifications not just about marriage but about the future of the culture, of society, of religious freedom, of persecution and, I believe, judgment."
Catholic Priest: Gay Sex Is Like a Bagel in the Ear
The Rev. John Riccardo, a priest at a Plymouth parish, made the bagel analogy, which he said is useful in talking to young people. He said junior high students sometimes ask him why God hates gays, and he responds that God doesn’t hate gays but that gay sex is unnatural.

He said he tells students, what if “I just rip open a bagel, I take it, and I cram it in my ear. What would you say?” When they respond, “That doesn’t go there,” he says, “Exactly,” and that doing so “will ruin your ear canal.”
Not just butt sex, can't have "lesbianese" either,,,

Springfield Diocese's new school policy targets non-Catholics
The Springfield Catholic Diocese's new school policy could call into question parents' lifestyles, especially if they go against Catholic teaching, and takes a new approach toward a more Protestant tradition of tithing.

The Family School Agreement would also require that non-Catholic families to attend Mass weekly and contribute to Catholic parishes, even while in most instances paying higher tuition rates at those schools.

The agreement, modeled after a Wichita, Kansas, plan, was issued by Springfield Bishop Thomas John Paprocki on July 20, but some Springfield schools haven't made parents or legal guardians sign it.

In a letter to pastors and principals, obtained by The State Journal-Register, Paprocki acknowledged that the agreement was initiated in part when a same-sex married couple tried to enroll their adopted children at a Springfield elementary school, later identified as Christ the King.

One of the points of the agreement — which was recommended by the diocese's Presbyteral Council, a 20-member senate of the bishop that acts in a consultative nature, and approved by Paprocki — is the expectation that parents, adoptive parents or legal guardians of children enrolled in Catholic schools meet with their parish pastor if they are "not living in accord with church teaching."
The problem with the ole windbag having a daily show is that he monopolizes stupid.  Has it ever occurred to any of these pontificating doom mongers that, besides the obvious of their Gawd not existing, maybe Gawd is in favor of the changes that have occurred?

Pat Robertson: Gay Marriage Leads To Chaos, Sadness And God's Wrath
“What have we done?” he asked. “The Supreme Court has ruled against prayer and Bible study in the schools, it has ruled against almost everything having to do with religion in our public life, it has ruled that abortion is a constitutional right, it has ruled that homosexuality is a constitutional right, it has now ruled that homosexual marriage is a constitutional right.”

Robertson continued: “It has done everything it can, and schools and educators throughout the society have done everything they can to turn us away from God. It is small wonder that our society is in chaos and it will be small wonder if God doesn’t judge us. It’s just a question of how soon judgment is going to fall on this nation.”
It's bad enough having one wing-nut religionist who thinks he knows all things America, now we others who actually supports the bullshit - Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries and the discoverer of the “blood moons” tetrad; Evangelist, filmmaker and author Joel Richardson; author and Bible teacher Jonathan Cahn.   Here is one of four mentioned, Carl Gallups,,,

'Of course' market plunge 'is God's judgment!'
“I am listening, along with the rest of America, to the various financial pundits insisting that what we are watching with the recent market percentage collapse is a ‘market correction’ or a ‘typical market drop’ for this time of year,” said Gallups.

“Those definitions may indeed prove to be true, in this particular case, as the next few weeks and months go by. But, I do know this – even if this particular financial disaster passes and/or corrects, America has a day of reckoning coming. And when it arrives, it will make what is happening now look like child’s play.”
,,,
Gallups continued: “How can we exterminate 55 million of our most precious national treasures and resources, our own children, and not expect God’s hand of judgment to eventually fall – and fall hard? How can we arrogantly usher in the Sodom and Gomorrah spirit of degradation and abomination; and then celebrate it, embrace it, glorify it, and codify it – while somehow expecting the author of life and marriage to remain silent?”

Damn butt sex gets in the way off everything

What I want to know is why this man is so obsessed with gay sex?  Was he born an asshole as well?

'I Was Born That Way': Bryan Fischer Claims He Was Born Christian, Repulsed By Homosexuality
"I think, actually, that's a good argument," Fischer replied. "The way I am, I was born this way. And you know, you think about it Terry, who would choose, at this time in our nation's history, to be a Christian? You're ridiculed. You're mocked. You're made fun of. You get fired ... I mean, who would choose a lifestyle where you are the unending subject of ridicule, mockery, and contempt by liberals in society, by elites, by professors, on the media, by politicians? Who's going to choose that? So our defense is, hey, I was born that way."

After admitting that this was really nothing more than a facetious argument because "we know that our faith is a matter of choice," Fischer went on to assert that being repulsed by homosexuality was actually something most people were born with.

"I think that most of us have an instinctive, I think revulsion is not too strong of  a word, to the act of homosexuality, what actually happens when homosexuals come together and engage in sexual congress," he said. "We look at that and there is just an inner revulsion to that."

"God has the same reaction that you and I do," he continued, "but that instinctive revulsion that we have when we think about homosexuality, I was born that way."
Who exactly is this "they" he speaks of,,,

Scott Lively: LGBT Rights Brought Us To The 'Twilight Zone'
“This is very spiritual warfare at the most intense level,” Lively said regarding the recent legal defeat for the ex-gay group Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing (JONAH), which was found guilty of violating consumer fraud laws. “The idea that any person cannot reorient their sexuality to the design of their own body is preposterous and to win a lawsuit on the theme that it’s consumer fraud to suggest that it’s possible, we’ve entered into the Twilight Zone here.”
,,,
“I’m actually a little surprised they moved so fast into transgenderism when they still haven’t finished mopping up on just simple homosexuality,” he added. “And I was especially shocked when they went into the military and said they were going to actually legitimize transsexuals in the U.S. military. What a disaster in the making. It’s mindboggling to see what is going on here.”
Pat Robertson: Gays Can Never Be Happy, Call My Network For 'Freedom' From Homosexuality
Today, Pat Robertson’s news program “The 700 Club” aired a story about one man’s “struggle with homosexuality,” which ended, supposedly, after the man joined a “support group for Christians caught in the gay and lesbian lifestyle,” became abstinent, and eventually married a woman and founded a church.

Following the report, Robertson lamented that “it used to be that psychologists would tell people how to come out of this, now they tell them how to stay in it and be happy.” “Well, you’ll never be happy unless you’re happy in Jesus,” he said.
The New Outcasts
I am an outcast. I am an untouchable. I am a leper. I am the scum of the earth. Why, what did I do? Sexually abuse a child? Torture kittens for the fun of it? Murder my own family? No, something far, far worse. You see, I actually believe that marriage is between a man and a woman.
,,,
OK, so banish me now. Exile me. Or jail me. Or even put me to death for my dastardly beliefs. But no matter how demonised and abused by the homosexual statists, I will never refrain from speaking up for truth – and for marriage and children.

I have long noted how incredibly bizarre all this is, with persecution arising for simply affirming marriage and the wellbeing of children. Who would have thought the new clampdown on freedom and democracy would come from those rainbow warriors who have declared war on marriage and family.
,,,
With people now losing their jobs, being fined, and even going to jail over this, you know we have reached the endgame warned about in these prophetic novels. Indeed, why am I reminded of the words of George Orwell from his prescient 1984?
Wondering what "mission" "this country" has exactly.  Might the word "dominion" have anything to do with it?

EW Jackson: Obama Turning Military Into A 'Sexual Experiment' Because He Doesn’t Believe In America
“The lesbian, transgender, bisexual military is what the president is creating for us, and it’s sad,” Jackson declared, alleging that President Obama “is much more interested in turning the military into some sort of sexual experiment than he is in making it the finest fighting force in the world.”

Gaffney asked Jackson, who now works as a Fox News contributor and Family Research Council senior fellow, if allowing LGBT people to serve openly is not just a “wrecking operation against the military” but also an effort to “do over the United States itself as a society.”

Jackson responded that Obama wants to allow LGBT people to serve in the military because he doesn’t believe in America or want the military to be effective: “I don’t think he wants the military to be militarily effective, because I don’t think he believes in it, I don’t think he believes in its mission, because, frankly, and I know this sounds extreme but it’s what I believe in my heart, I don’t think he fundamentally believes in the nature of this country or its mission.”

They said what?

Pat Robertson: Gay And Gay-Accepting Christians Going To Hell
“To have a church saying [homosexuality] is not a sin, it’s okay, they’re leading people down the road to perdition,” he told a viewer who had recently attended an inclusive church. “If I were you, I would stay far away from them.”
Fischer: Gays Are Trying To Reimpose Slavery On The South
"Ladies and gentlemen," Fischer said, "that is just a form of tyranny. When you compel people to do things contrary to their will, contrary to their conscience, that's slavery as well as tyranny. So you think about it, who's bringing slavery back to the south? Who's bringing slavery back to the Confederate States of America? It's the homosexual lobby. When you compel people to provide services against their will, that is involuntary servitude, that is slavery. I submit to you that it is the homosexual lobby that's single-handedly bringing slavery back to the Confederate States of America."
'Prophet' Cindy Jacobs Warns That A Second Civil War Is Coming Due To Gay Marriage, Anti-Christian Persecution
"One thing that prophet after prophet said," Jacobs said, "is you're going to see rain fall in the states that are following biblical principles ... Here in Texas, we're just seeing abundance. We're saddened about the flooding but what happened with the abundance of the rain was the lakes filled up and the rain brought great blessing, great fruitfulness to harvest."

Later, Jacobs proclaimed that America will experience a "conservative revolt" and reported that her prophecy was supported by a dream that her fellow prophet James Goll recently had in which God told him that "the war between the states has begun."

"The word that I issued," Jacobs reported, "was that there would come a time when states would threaten to secede from the union" due to the persecution of Christians and attacks on religious freedom, all of which was supported by Goll's dream in which he saw soldiers engaged in a second Civil War between the "sheep states" and the "goat states."
But when gays use THEIR freedom of speech, it's religious persecution,,,

Linda Harvey: LGBT Rights Will 'Wipe Out Free Speech' And 'Obliterate' Christianity
After the Shepard-Byrd Hate Crimes Prevention Act was signed into law in 2009, many anti-LGBT activists claimed that it would criminalize free speech and religious expression. They said the exact same thing following the Windsor and Obergefell decisions, and yet gay marriage opponents still have the right to criticize marriage equality, contrary to their own predictions.

Even though none of these predictions about the hate crimes law or marriage equality came true, critics now say that this time they have found the real legislation through which the LGBT rights movement will ban free speech: The Equality Act.

Writing in WorldNetDaily, Linda Harvey of Mission America alleges that the nondiscrimination bill threatens to “silence believers” and “essentially wipe out free speech and religious liberty on the issues of homosexuality and gender change.”

“Christianity is now a target to be obliterated or revised,” Harvey writes, labeling the bill a “fascist attempt to dismantle the First Amendment.”
And here I thought the playground was within the "walls" of the church,,,

Staver: The Boy Scouts Will Now Become 'A Playground For Pedophiles'
Now [the organization will] allow homosexual young boys in the Scouts and allow homosexual leaders in the Scouts, and what are you going to have? You are going to have all kinds of sexual molestation. This is a playground for pedophiles to go and have all these boys as objects of their lust. This is insane and we need to literally abandon the Scouts because the Scouts, unfortunately, have abandoned us.
,,,
This issue of homosexuality is becoming insane and it is the culture battle of our time. Whether it is this Boy Scouts’ abdication of its role and changing of the policies or so-called “same-sex marriage,” this is a time that our Judeo-Christian values are attacked, being challenged, and this is a time for you to stand up and be true to the Scriptures and be true to our Lord.
Pat Robertson: Gay Marriage Part Of 'Flood Of Evil' Destroying America
“We have a government that is set about bringing upon iniquity, we have courts that have distorted the Constitution and have turned our moral values on their ear,” he said. “Who would’ve thought, 30 or 40 years ago when we began, that the Supreme Court would’ve said that homosexuality is a constitutional right? Who would’ve thought that the Supreme Court would’ve said marriage between homosexuals was a constitutional right? Who would’ve thought that the slaughter of babies, over 55 million of them, would’ve been declared a constitutional right by the Supreme Court?”
Dobson's Dire Warning: Gay Marriage Ruling Will Destroy Christianity And America
In his latest monthly newsletter, James Dobson warns his supporters that the recent Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage nationwide was not about achieving marriage equality at all, but rather is an attempt to oppress and persecute Christians and destroy Christianity.

The real goal, Dobson reveals, is for gay rights activists to shut down churches, destroy Christian businesses and organizations, and ultimately take control of your children ... just like Hitler did,,,

Pat Robertson to grandparents: Take grandkids 'away' from atheist parents and send them to a Christian school

If it wasn't for the fact that this idea of "kidnapping for Christ" wasn't so real, I would ignore what the senile ole windbag had to say.  But sadly, it has happened and probably still continues.

That aside for the moment, let's flip that scenario.  What if an atheist grandparent suggested taking a child out of a religious school and away from his religious parents?  You can bet Robertson and his colleagues would be crying “Christian persecution.”
TV preacher Pat Robertson suggested on Monday that grandparents should find a way to send their grandchildren to a Christian school if atheist parents were teaching them that God and Jesus were not real.

“Pat, I am very concerned because this past weekend my 6-year-old grandson said his dad told him God and Jesus were not real and were just made up to scare people about dying,” a viewer named Elizabeth explained to Robertson in an email.

Elizabeth said that she tried to “explain the truth” to her grandson but he wouldn’t believe her.
“I’m worried for my grandson’s soul,” she wrote.

“You should be,” Robertson agreed. “If there’s any way you can get that child away from that… His father telling him that. I don’t know, but if there’s any way you can get him enrolled in a Christian school or get him into some, you know, they have daily vacation Bible school and things.”

Pat Robertson: Gays Can Become Straight If They 'Start Acting Like Men' | Right Wing Watch

He just doesn't get it,,,
Pat Robertson, a big fan of ex-gay pseudo-therapy, fielded a question from a “700 Club” viewer today who asked if God could “take away this same-sex attraction” and “change a homosexual to straight.”

Confusing sexual orientation with gender identity, Robertson said that his network once profiled the transformation of an “absolutely gorgeous” woman who “was a man” until “the Lord touched him, changed him and now he is marrying and has some children and has a very happy life.”

“It is a miracle but God can do it,” he said. “It is a tendency in your life.”

Pat Robertson: Tell Bereaved Mother Her Dead Baby Could've Been The Next Hitler | Right Wing Watch

It is not as if my opinion of the old bloviating windbag could get any worse, but Pat just joined the ranks of William Lane Craig:  "If [you] believe, as I do, that God’s grace is extended to those who die in infancy or as small children, the death of these children was actually their salvation. We are so wedded to an earthly, naturalistic perspective that we forget that those who die are happy to quit this earth for heaven’s incomparable joy. Therefore, God does these children no wrong in taking their lives."
“As far as God’s concerned, he knows the end from the beginning and He sees a little baby and that little baby could grow up to be Adolf Hitler, he could grow up to be Joseph Stalin, he could grow up to be some serial killer, or he could grow up to die of a hideous disease,” Robertson said. “God sees all of that, and for that life to be terminated while he’s a baby, he’s going to be with God forever in Heaven so it isn’t a bad thing.”
Like Craig, Robertson has "succeeded" in justifying the slaughter of innocent children.

Our eyes need to be wide open,,,

Kelly Shackelford: LGBT Advocates Will 'Destroy' People Until We 'Lose All Freedom'
Shackelford, whose group works against antidiscrimination laws and represents those who claim to have been hurt by them, described how LGBT equality supporters have been “taking over the airwaves” in order to pressure people into supporting their cause.

“People are afraid to speak up, which is the opposite of our country — our country is all about people having different beliefs,” he said. “And the scary thing to me is how quickly it moved from the GLBT [community] having some victories on this issue of marriage to having complete intolerance, of trying to force people to violate their faith. This is antithetical to our country and anything we’re about.”
It is sad that Fischer is encouraging bad "journalism" in a child to foment his organization's agenda.
"The homosexual agenda represents the greatest single threat to religious liberty we have ever seen in the history of our existence as a nation," he declared. "In fact, it's the greatest threat to liberty of all kinds, whether it is freedom of religion, whether it is freedom of speech, whether it is freedom of the press, whether it is freedom of association, all of the rights that are enshrined in the First Amendment are threatened by the active, aggressive homosexual lobby and the homosexual agenda":
NOM Warns Marriage Equality Will Lead To Community-Marriage, End Of First Amendment
National Organization for Marriage president Brian Brown is furious that a gay couple who were legally married in Iowa but now live in Missouri have filed for divorce in Missouri, which a local judge has refused to recognize.

Speaking with WorldNetDaily about the case, Brown accused LGBT rights advocates of seeking to undermine the First Amendment and contended that the legalization of same-sex marriage will lead to polygamy and even marriages among “entire communities,” whatever that means.
Pat Robertson: Gays 'Will Die Out Because They Don't Reproduce'
“You know, those who are homosexual will die out because they don’t reproduce,” he said. “You know, you have to have heterosexual sex to reproduce. Same thing with that church, it’s doomed, it’s going to die out because it’s the most nonsensical thing I’ve heard in a long time.”
Although both Chanukah and Christmas are both past, this (so-called) rabbi, Jonathan Cahn, is a "new" name to me within the crazy world of the Reich. Let this sink in a minute "Messianic,,, End Times,,, rabbi."

Messianic End Times rabbi Jonathan Cahn, a favorite doomsday preacher among right-wing activists, told WorldNetDaily in an interview today that Chanukah is a time for Americans to reflect on the purported dangers of books like Harry Potter, as well as gay rights laws, which he warned will outlaw the Bible.

According to Cahn, the struggle of the Maccabees is seen today in American society among those who oppose secular government, LGBT equality, the so-called War on Christmas and the country’s transformation into “a post-Christian society” that will ultimately “produce a Hitler or a Stalin, and the antichrist.”

Cahn urged WND readers to become modern-day Maccabees who will fight gay rights and Harry Potter even “if it costs us our life.”
Something to keep our eyes on through the coming months,,,
"Right now, the battle lines in this country are for the young people," he explained. "The one thing that's missing in American education right now? The Word of God. The one thing that's missing in our decisions in government, in many cases? The Word of God. And whenever you do not have the foundation of your society, which is the Word of God, in the decisions that you are making, you're going the wrong direction."

"How do we take America back? One leader at a time. That school is going to train leaders that are going to make godly decisions. How are we going to take this country back? One generation at a time and the Sanctuary of Hope is going to be the training ground for the soldiers in the army of the living God that are going to do great things for his kingdom":

Time to take the plunge,,,

Court orders Judge Judith Hawkins be removed from the bench
The Florida Supreme Court ordered the removal of Leon County Judge Judith Hawkins from the bench in a sharply worded order after she was found guilty of judicial-misconduct and several violations of the judicial code of conduct.

The order is not final until time expires to file a rehearing. Hawkins has 15 days to do so.

"We conclude that Judge Hawkins' conduct is fundamentally inconsistent with the responsibilities of judicial office, demonstrating present unfitness to hold office, and that removal is the only appropriate sanction," Supreme Court justices wrote in their 36-page opinion released Thursday. "Based on the violations found by the Hearing Panel, which were supported by clear and convincing evidence, we conclude removal from the bench is the only appropriate sanction in this case."

[,,,]
The Judicial Qualifying Commission, which investigates and prosecutes cases of alleged judicial misconduct and judicial code violations, in January recommended Hawkins be publicly reprimanded and suspended for 90 days and fined $17,000 after she was found guilty of using her office to promote her ministry Gaza Road Ministries. The Supreme Court however in June ordered her to show cause why she should not face the most severe penalty — removal from office.

The JQC charged Hawkins in December 2012 and added new charges in June 2013, all related to her side ministry business. The charges fell under five broad categories: use of her office to promote a private business, failure to respect and comply with the law, failure to act in a manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary, failure to devote full attention to judicial office and lack of candor with the JQC.
Pat Robertson: 'Dangerous' Ouija Boards 'Communicate With Demonic Spirits'
“The spirit is causing that little needle — it goes around to letters and spells out words and so you feel like [it’s] some dead person, but actually it is communicating with demonic spirits,” he said. “It is a dangerous thing and I strongly urge people not to get involved in it.”
Beck: Don't Join The Military Because 'We Have A Chance Of Losing Our Country In the Next Two To Three Years'

The prophet of doom and gloom says,,,
"I wouldn't want my son joining the military now," Beck declared, saying that no matter who becomes the next president, America is going to implode.

"Starting Tuesday, until the inauguration of the next president," he said, "this is the most dangerous time in our nation's history."

"All it's gonna take is a Black Swan event and I think we could be in deep, deep trouble," Beck warned. "We have a chance of losing our country in the next two to three years":
Michele Bachmann Has Big Plans For Her Future: 'I Intend To Have My Voice And My Thoughts As Far And Wide As I Possibly Can'

So in other words she will have a daily gig on the unbalanced Faux news,,,
As the only Republican woman to ever participate in televised presidential debates and "the only woman Republican candidate who ever won a presidential contest," Bachmann asserted that "I occupy a unique space" in public sphere and therefore she intends to be "heavily involved in the 2016 race, in particular if Hillary Clinton is the nominee for president on the Democrat [sic] side."
,,,
"I intend to have my voice and my thoughts as far and wide as I possibly can," she pledged, "to bring in the perspective of the conservative movement in this upcoming race in 2016. It is the pivotal race in our lifetime and I wanna be involved":
FRC Fellow: 'The Whole Country’s Being Conscripted Into A Pride Parade'

Notice the reference to the Declaration as per usual,,,
“Now we’re finding out that it’s not just about defending marriage, as important as that is,” Morrison told Smith. “It’s a question of defending liberty itself, because they can’t violate the laws of nature and of nature’s God, as the Declaration talks about, they can’t violate those laws without trampling religious freedom and political liberty at the same time.”

Speaking of nondiscrimination laws that prevent businesses from discriminating against LGBT people, he argued, “They’re not exercising discrimination, what they’re doing, what you’re doing is conscripting them. You’re forcing them to take part in your gay pride parade.”

“When I was a young guy, the draft was a hot issue,” he added. “Okay, well we’re being conscripted, the whole country’s being conscripted into a pride parade, and I don’t want to be in that parade.”
Birthers Hope GOP Congress Will Launch Obama Birth Certificate Probe
A columnist for the birther outlet WorldNetDaily wants conservatives to pressure Republican elected officials to initiate a probe into President Obama’s birth certificate if the GOP takes control of the U.S. Senate following the midterm elections.

Lord Christopher Monckton declares that once “the GOP commands both the Senate and the House,” conservatives should demand that they “find what in English we should call the cojones to do something about the birth certificate.”

“If the GOP wins the Senate, and even if it does not win the Senate, let it at last find the guts to do what it should have done long before now,” he writes. “Let it say yes to Sheriff Joe’s request that it should initiate a congressional investigation of this affair.”

He warns that “the clock is ticking” on Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s birther “cold case posse” investigation: “If the sheriff cannot act now, on the basis of the overwhelming evidence in his possession, then Mr. Obama will survive to the end of his second unlawful term as “president.”
Eric Metaxas Is Not At All Being 'Hyperbolic' When He Warns That America Is At Risk Of Turning Into Nazi Germany
"The parallel today is simply that you have a government, a state, which is getting larger and larger and more and more powerful and it is beginning to push against the church," he warned. "There's a window of opportunity where we can fight. If we don't wake up and fight before then, we won't be able to fight. That's just what happened in Germany and that's the urgency we have in America now. And people think that's incendiary or I'm being hyperbolic. I'm sorry, I wish, I wish, I wish I were. I'm not":
Austin Miles: Obama Will Cancel 2016 Elections, Spark Race War
Rev. Austin Miles took to Renew America on Halloween to warn that President Obama is getting ready to cancel the 2016 elections and “use Executive Privilege to declare himself President for Life.”

Warning that “Obama was hand-picked and groomed at an early age” by “his Communist handlers” to turn America “into a Marxist Socialist Nation controlled by Communist Czars,” Miles predicted that the president will stoke racial tensions in Ferguson, Missouri in order to create “a new civil war” and “a national race riot.”

Then, “Obama will declare a crisis” and make sure that “there will be no further presidential elections.”
Gheen: GOP's 'Immediate Focus' Should Be Impeaching And Prosecuting Obama
In the wake of last night's elections, which saw Republicans gain control of the Senate and gave the party complete control of Congress, William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is wasting no time in calling upon the GOP to use its newfound power to "investigate, impeach, and prosecute Obama."

Gheen, a radical anti-immigration activist who once threatened that violence may be necessary to stop President Obama's war on "White America," sent out an email early this morning declaring that the GOP's victories "will be short lived" if it does not immediately take steps to remove Obama from office:

Pat Robertson: You Can Get AIDS From A Towel
“Not in Kenya. You might get AIDS in Kenya, the people have AIDS, you got to be careful, the towels can have AIDS,” he said.
Rev. Billy Graham: ‘America is Just as Wicked as Sodom and Gomorrah Ever Were’
Reverend Billy Graham, arguably the most well-known and respected evangelical preacher of the last 50 years, said in a recently published commentary that America was “founded by men who believed in prayer” and that prayer can turn “the tide of history,” adding that while “America is just as wicked as Sodom and Gomorrah” and deserves “the judgment of God,” this judgment can be lessened through prayer.

“Even though America is just as wicked as Sodom and Gomorrah ever were, and as deserving of the judgment of God, God would spare us if we were earnestly praying, with hearts that had been cleansed and washed by the blood of Christ,” said Rev. Graham in his commentary for Decision magazine, published by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

“The problems of the world will never be settled unless our national leaders go to God in prayer,” he said. “If only they would discover the power and wisdom that there is in reliance upon God, we could soon see the solution to the grave problems that face the world!”
Louie Gohmert: Nurses infected with Ebola are part of the ‘Democrats’ war on women’
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) declared on Thursday that Center for Disease Control (CDC) Director Tom Frieden was in charge of “the Democrats’ war on women nurses.”

[,,,]
“You know, it’s a shame that the CDC head, Frieden, is apparently the commander of the Democrats’ new war on women nurses,” Gohmert opined. “Because, goodnight, they set them up, and then they throw them under the bus.”

“The idiot comes out and says that clearly she had violated protocol,” the Texas congressman continued. “At least in football, they have to tell you what you violated.”
John Hagee Says Ebola Is God's Judgment On America Because Obama Is Trying To Divide Israel
On yesterday's broadcast of the "Hagee Hotline," televangelist and Christians United For Israel founder John Hagee issued a stark warning to America that the Ebola crisis is God's judgment on America for President Obama's failure to adequately support Israel.

"I want every American to hear this very clearly," Hagee said, citing Joel 3 to warn that God will judge any nation that seeks to divide up Israel and declaring that "our president is dead set on dividing Jerusalem. God is watching and he will bring America into judgment."
Donald Trump: Ebola-Infected Immigrants Will 'Just Walk Into The Country' Over Mexican Border
Donald Trump appeared on “The Steve Deace Show” this week to discuss his upcoming fundraiser on behalf of Rep. Steve King, who is facing a tight re-election battle.

After lashing out at President Obama’s fondness for golf, claiming that the president shows “a level of arrogance that’s absolutely disgusting,” Trump said that he was attracted to King’s hardline anti-immigrant stance.
Glenn Beck's Advice On How To Stay Safe From Ebola: 'Whatever The Government Says To Do, Don't!'
Ever since the first case of Ebola appeared in America a few weeks back, Glenn Beck's response has steadily become more and more schizophrenic, as he has begun spending show and show utterly freaking out about how the disease will soon kill hundreds of thousands of people and destroy the U.S. economy while occasionally reassuring his audience that he is actually strangely calm in his "spirit," which makes him think that the outbreak won't turn into a unmitigated crisis and complete global disaster.

The target of most of his rage has been the federal government and especially the Centers for Disease Control, both of whom he has routinely accused of not only utter incompetence but outright criminal negligence. As such, Beck offered a bit of life-saving advice to his listeners today: "Whatever the government says to do, don't."

"Listen to me carefully, America," Beck said. "Listen to me. This may actually save your life someday. I want you to remember this: whatever the government says to do, don't!"
Larry Pratt: Obama Will Use Undocumented Immigrants As His 'Praetorian Guard'
Gun Owners of America’s Larry Pratt is convinced that President Obama is destabilizing the U.S. military while lifting up undocumented immigrants, and Pratt thinks he knows why: the president is trying to create his own personal paramilitary staffed by undocumented immigrants.

Pratt, who once wondered if Obama will have a private army to fight in his looming race war, told a listener on the conservative radio show “Crosstalk” this week that the president will enlist immigrants in his private “Praetorian Guard.”

“Bring them in from out of town, they don’t have any connectivity with the folks in the area and they’re only going to be loyal to the guy who brought him,” he explained.
Erik Rush: 'Diabolical' Obama May 'Want Ebola To Spread In The United States'
In yet another column suggesting that President Obama wants to infect people with Ebola, Erik Rush writes today in WorldNetDaily that the Ebola virus may be part of “various escalating crises in America being orchestrated by the White House in order to ultimately ‘legitimize’ a declaration of martial law in America.”

Rush argues that “given how manifestly diabolical I know this president and his administration to be,” there is a strong chance that administration officials actually “want Ebola to spread in the United States.”

Downbeat Pat Robertson Criticizes Supreme Court On Marriage Equality | Right Wing Watch

Pat Robertson today rebuked the Supreme Court for “punting” on marriage equality, blasting the courts — along with Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring — for “overriding the wishes of the states” to “protect traditional marriage.”

The “700 Club” host later compared the decision to Roe v. Wade: “It’s the same thing with abortion. Instead of letting the people decide as they should’ve under the Constitution, it was taken out of their hands by the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade and because of that no effort by the people has been successful ever since and it’s been a travesty as we’ve seen over 50 million unborn babies slaughtered in this land.”

UPDATE::'Little Jewish Radical' Responds to Pat Robertson: Religious Freedom & Feigned Valor in the Military

This is what happens when you are an army of one following the news of thousands. You get behind. So even though I am a we bit late in posting this, it is still important.

This is Mikey Weinstein's response to fucktard Pat Robertson. It is long but it boils down perfectly to this one statement.
This vile specimen is to human dignity and sanity and integrity and character what dog shit is on the menu of a fine French restaurant.
_
Let me explain. In his 1972 autobiography, Shout it From the Housetops, Robertson boasted about his outstanding service as a “Marine combat officer in Korea.” The only problem with the claim is that many of his former comrades allege that never once did he ever see battle. Robertson filed a libel suit against McCloskey, only to be unceremoniously dropped later on. Contradicting Robertson’s claims, war hero and former seven-term Congressman Paul “Pete” McCloskey alleged that the “Marine combat officer” may have used his privileged family ties as the son of a Virginia Senator to pull the strings and skirt his combat duties. Apparently, the order from General Lemuel Shepherd was to "Take good care of him; his Daddy is Chairman of the Senate Armed Forces Appropriations Committee."

Therefore, the future televangelist (and saber-rattling warmonger) was reassigned from combat duty to the far less heroic undertaking of keeping the barracks watering hole stocked with liquor. As numerous fellow marines claimed, throughout the Korean War the “Marine combat officer” was known as the Masan Liquor Officer. Now don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing inherently wrong with being a ‘liquor officer.’ However, speaking as a former Air Force officer and Air Force Academy honor graduate, whose two sons, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law are all, likewise, Air Force Academy graduates as well as either current or former proud members of the U.S. Air Force, I am positively pissed that such a putrid example of cowardly cretinism in the ignoble person of Pat Robertson would have the gall to question the bravery of our USAF airmen. Every American, every service member, should know well to ignore the attention-hungry ravings of this false prophet and posturing poseur of the first order.

ADDENDUM::Gushing Over Graham, or, How Much is That Anti-Semite in the Window? | Mark Axelrod

As I was writing up my post concerning Pat Robertson's tirade against Mikey Weinstein of MRFF, I was reminded of an "incident" that came to light in 2002 involving none other than the Rev. Billy Graham.
"This stranglehold (i.e. the Jewish one) has got to be broken or the country's going down the drain," said Graham who went on to agree with more anti-Jewish Nixonian comments.

"You believe that?" Nixon goes on.

"Yes, sir," Graham says.

"Oh, boy," counters Nixon. "So do I. I can't ever say that but I believe it."

Graham continues, "No, but if you get elected a second time, then we might be able to do something,"

During the same exchange, Graham says he has Jewish "friends" in the media, who "swarm around me and are friendly to me." But, he continues, "They don't know how I really feel about what they're doing to this country."
What some may remember is that this private exchange took place in 1972 and was first publicized in H.R. Haldeman book The Haldeman Diaries (1994). Even though I had left the church by then, I hadn't quite come out of the atheist closet (that didn't occur privately till 97 and "publicly" until 1998/9.) I was still agnostic, still holding on to some "hope" of salvaging my immortal soul. I grew up on Billy Graham, every televised crusade, three attended in person. My introduction to Corrie Ten Boom came through Graham. I'm fairly certain that when Halderman's book was released, this revelation would have rocked my world, but I remember nothing.

But why is this important? What makes Billy Graham's anti-Semitic remarks different from Robertson's?

If one digs deeper, the remarks are the "same," just different words. "Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1972 entry, Haldeman wrote "There was discussion of the terrible problem arising from the total Jewish domination of the media, and agreement that this was something that would have to be dealt with" (Diaries, 405). According to James Warren, a Chicago Tribune staff reporter, in an article dated March 1, 2002, Haldeman also said that, "Graham has the strong feeling that the Bible says there are satanic Jews and there's where our problem arises."

Unlike Robertson, Graham did issue an apology, "Although I have no memory of the occasion, I deeply regret comments I apparently made in an Oval Office conversation with President Nixon and H.R. Haldeman some 30 years ago. They do not reflect my views and I sincerely apologize for any offense caused by the remarks."

In his public life, unlike Robertson, Graham was never heard to speak ill of those of the Judaic religion. "The one thing critics of Billy Graham have failed to come up with is a single act, a single syllable in the public career of Mr. Graham that could be interpreted as anti-Semitic. There can't be another living American whose day-by-day life has been more minutely examined. When did he say anything anti-Semitic? When did he egg on critics of the Jews? When did he by inflection, let alone declaration, seek to undermine the Jewish state?"

Unlike Robertson, Rev Graham did not "attack" a specific individual. "'There’s a left-wing radical named Mikey Weinstein who has got a group about people against religion or whatever he calls it, and he has just terrorized the armed forces,' Robertson opined. 'You think you’re supposed to be tough, you’re supposed to defend us, and you got one little Jewish radical who is scaring the pants off of you.'”

But, no matter how one were to look at both Graham and Robertson, they remain anti-Semitic in their sentiments. Apology or not. And yes, the 2002 disclosure pretty much shut down any return to the church. When an icon falls (Ted Haggard, Jim Bakker, Benny Hinn), reason does not allow one to turn back the clock.

UPDATE::MRFF's Testimony Before the House Armed Services Committee Cancelled

As usual, I got a we bit sidetracked (the Cherron Phillips Sovereign case) whilst waiting for the release of Mikey' Weinstein's digital copy of his now cancelled testimony before the House Armed Services Committee. Along with that, I was also wondering and waiting on his reaction (if any) to Pat Robertson's anti-semitic diatribe

First up, Mikey's testimony as provided by MRFF,,,

It is 78 pdf-pages long and thoroughly breaks down the issue of religious coercion in the military. It is "divided" in to three basic sections, with the first section detailing numerous testimonials from individuals helped by MRFF.

Following that, there is discussion concerning the formation of “Restore Military Religious Freedom Coalition" in regards to the NDAA debate including the Fleming Amendment and detail concerning various incidents that required MRFF intervention, "Just War Theory" being a prominent example highlighting the FRC bogus propaganda “A Clear and Present Danger: The Threat to Religious Liberty in the Military." Basically this sections is MRFF’s response to that report which has been cited and referred to by members of Congress on a number of occasions,

As a third enclosure MRFF includes Chris Rodda's contribution to the book Attitudes Aren’t Free: Thinking Deeply About Diversity in the US Armed Forces. The chapter, titled “Against All Enemies, Foreign and Domestic,” covers numerous issues. that still plague our military; includes incidents and examples related to both our military’s religious proselytizing overseas in combat zones and on military bases here in the US.

Even if you decide not to thoroughly read through Mikey's testimony, this PDF is a good resource to have on hand to combat the Reich's bullshit.

As for Mikey's reaction to Windbag Robertson, I defer to Hemant Mehta,
I called up Weinstein to see if he had anything to say in response to Robertson — as if he ever didn’t have something to say — and he was even more blunt than usual:
“Pat Robertson is to human dignity and sanity and integrity and character what dog shit is to a fine French restaurant on the menu.”
Unquote. I’ve had many phone conversations with Weinstein over the years, but never one that quick. He knew exactly what he wanted to say.
