Police say two middle school girls, who worship Satan, armed
themselves with knives in a foiled plot to violently kill classmates and
drink their blood at school on Tuesday.
The 6th and 7th-grade
girls attend Bartow Middle School, police say. At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the
Bartow Police School Resource Officer assigned to the school was
summoned to the principal's office in reference to an armed juvenile
complaint.
The investigation revealed that the students armed
themselves with knives, and planned on attacking fellow students during
the school day.
As Hemant Mehta notes, " These girls may have claimed to worship Satan, but there is nothing yet
that links them to any major proponent of “Satanism.” In fact, The
Satanic Temple and the Church of Satan — two separate groups — have
issued denunciations on Twitter."
As these groups also point out, if these girls actually believed in
Satan, they were not atheists… which is to say they’re not Satanists in
the mold of those groups since they are secular by nature. If anything,
those who believe in Satan are just practicing a version of Christianity
with an emphasis on a different biblical character.
A self-described Satanist facing murder charges was found dead in his North Carolina prison cell in an apparent suicide, authorities said.
Pazuzu Algarad, 36, was found
unresponsive about 3 a.m. Wednesday by correctional officers in Central
Prison in Raleigh with a wound to one of his arms, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
Doctors and medical staff tried to revive him for more than an hour, but he was pronounced dead at 4:20 a.m., officials said.
Algarad was transferred to the
facility in May at the joint safekeeping request of his attorney and the
District Attorney’s office for reasons that have been sealed from
public view, District Attorney Jim O’Neill said at a press conference.

As many of you may have noticed I have an interest (some say unhealthy interest) in the more obscure religious systems of the world. Because of my personal experience with the Satanic Panic of the 80s-early 90s many of the stories I follow have a tendency to fall under the guise of "all things demonic." More important, who may be pushing said agenda and for what personal gain (a la Bob Larson and the Catholic Church).
One of the issues I have come across is the "labeling" of crimes as satanic or "demonic" in nature; worse, the use of religious belief in the demonic (possession and/or exorcism) as the justification for a crime. It is no surprise that Magus Peter Gilmore of the Church of Satan had to release a statement in regards to the recent Algarad-Burch killings.
The headline-grabbing allegations against Algarad and Amber Burch have prompted the Church of Satan to comment on the case. In short, the Satanist organization says that its members, unlike Algarad, do not worship the devil. In a statement, the organization’s leader, Magus Peter Gilmore, said the Church of Satan “stands firm in opposition to criminal acts, whether or not they are perpetrated in the name of any deity.” People like Algarad, Gilmore said, are really “devil worshipers.” Calling them otherwise gives Satanists a bad name. Gilmore also said that the Church of Satan’s “hate mail remains steady,” whether cases like Algarad’s are in the news or not. But the group doesn’t limit distancing statements like these to instances of criminal activity. There are several different groups out there using the term “Satanist” to refer to their beliefs, and they’re often at odds with each other. This has been going on for awhile.
There are people whom Gilmore would call “devil worshipers,” for whom a belief in the existence of actual demons and worship of Satan is a part of their practice. A tiny subset of that group include people like Algarad, alleged or convicted criminals who act in the name of a stated belief in Satan or demon worship.
The Church of Satan, Gilmore said, is a “rational, atheist philosophy” based on Anton LaVey’s “Satanic Bible” from 1969. The Church of Satan is generally quite protective of that claimed lineage and has a specific, somewhat rigorous membership application process. The group believes that it is the only “authentic” Satanist group in existence.
The organization’s leadership, according to Gilmore, believes that “the purpose of the Church of Satan is solely to communicate its philosophy to a worldwide audience with utmost clarity and precision.” Gilmore regularly uses the Church of Satan Web site to comment at length on instances of devil worship in the news, other “Satanist” groups and the qualities that the Church of Satan believes make a good Satanist — namely “pride, liberty and individualism.” Satanism, as defined by the Church of Satan, believes in Satan only as a symbolic, rather than as a supernatural, representation of these values.
“Satanism is an atheist philosophy which does not condone sacrifices nor does it support murder,” the statement said. Referring to a photograph of Alagrad, Gilmore called the murder suspect a “theist,” and not a “Satanist.”
“Regardless of what fictional entity is being worshiped, many now grasp that extremist theism worldwide promotes acts of savage injustice,” he said.

Corrective statements like these are routine for the Church of Satan, which has an improving relationship with law enforcement. “I have been a consultant for law enforcement on local, state and federal levels for years,” Gilmore wrote in an e-mail to The Washington Post. However, he added, “many police departments have not trained their officers to evaluate such instances, and unless they contact experts, they could misinterpret the data.”

Zachary King is a Catholic wannabe version of Mike Warnke and believes that Satanic rituals are being performed at your "local" abortion clinic (in other words, Planned Parenthood).

The interview originated with Michal Hichborn of the Lepanto Institute; it was then "reported" on by LifeNews.com, ”an independent news agency devoted to reporting news that affects the pro-life community." And finally reached Leo Hohmann of WND. His article is just a repetitious bunch of junk with no fresh perspective or novelty.
Now I'm not going to get into the differences between theistic and atheistic forms of Satanism (not to discount The Satanic Temple) nor any of the other batshittery that always surrounds this topic (ie Hitler, Manson, Mengele and Margaret Sanger always make an appearance from the religious fucktards). But I want you to think about what he said, and how fucking stupid he is. It is a point our very own Heretic Woman made before she was banned and her comments deleted.

Do you mean evidence as in hearing it on the main stream media? I have
heard testimony from many different ex-satanist that state child
sacrifice is a common practice among them. I was told i was crazy years

I was also and avid fan of his two-hour weekday call-in show "Talk Back" (no, I don't think I ever called in at least I don't remember ever doing so). Yes I have read many of his books and so on,,,

Less than two weeks after a third-grade teacher in Duncan, Okla., distributed Gideon Bibles to her students, the Church of Ahriman, a Satanist church in Oklahoma City, has asked permission to distribute Satanist literature at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School.
Adam Daniels, the church’s leader, said he wanted to give students a copy of “Ahrimani Enlightenment,” a primer and workbook normally given to new members of the church.
In a letter to the Duncan school district, some 80 miles south of Oklahoma City, Daniels assured administrators that his book is “no where (sic) near as graphic as the Christian Bible.”
Daniels said he has yet to hear back, but he believes equal access laws mean that his church has the right to distribute literature if other religious organizations are permitted to do so.
In the news and in movies, Satanists are seen chanting to the devil, causing havoc and making animal sacrifices. However, Satanist and Western junior Dave Lingbloom would say this is far from the truth.
Lingbloom gave a presentation on Satanism under the pseudonym Alder Strauss through the Freethinkers Club on Thursday, Oct. 30.
His presentation was meant to help people understand what Satanism is and how the media has distorted its true meaning, he said.
“Satanism is an atheistic religion that utilizes Satan as a symbol that champions individuality, liberty and embracing life in the here and now,” Strauss said.
A Satanist does not worship or believe in the devil or in any other mythical beings, Strauss said. Instead, Satan is viewed as a major symbol that celebrates man’s carnal nature to indulge in things that might otherwise be labeled as sinful, he said.
“I saw [Satanism] as a perfect tool to live my life to the fullest.”
Western senior Simon Grant, last year’s Freethinkers Club president, said Strauss’ presentation was very different than what he imagined.

Like other religions, there are many different groups that call themselves Satanists, but each have different ways of practicing the belief.
The Satanic Temple and Joy of Satan groups are often in the media for their more radical movements and campaigning, which has lead people to believe that’s what Satanism really is, Strauss said.
In his presentation, Strauss gave examples in history where Satanists have been portrayed, as Strauss said, “bloodthirsty, horned boogeymen.”
For example, in February 2014, Pennsylvania “Craiglist killer” Miranda Barbour claimed she killed dozens as part of her Satanist cult,
Reports like these in the news lead people to believe all Satanists are murders, Strauss said.
This is another article that appears to follow a re-current theme of late and may be likened or reminiscent of the "satanic panic" experienced here in the US. Dobson was a virgin then, he told the officer, though he and Hepburn would become lovers when she moved out to B.C. to be with him. They later relocated to a squalid apartment in Barrie and Dorrington — mother of two grown children — eventually flew to Toronto to participate in the alleged suicide pact.
“We hit it off. We all had satanic beliefs.”
Why suicide was required of them is not entirely clear in the interview. But that would be to make sense out of a haywire creed system.
“It’s not necessarily selling your soul to the devil,” said Dobson of the dedication ritual that would deliver the trio to this purported alternate dark-side galaxy planet ruled by Lucifer. “It’s saying, I’m on your side. I pledge myself to you.”
Is extreme religious belief indicative of a mental illness?It is a question I ponder - a lot.
Dobson has admitted he killed the women and also planned to kill himself because the three had a plan to travel to another galaxy.
He said he was directed by Satan.
His defense lawyer, Mitch Eisen, insists Dobson is not criminally responsible because he was mentally ill.
But a psychiatrist for the Crown, Dr. Andriy Kolchak, insisted it was Dobson’s fanatical beliefs in the teachings he studied on the Joy of Satan website that drove him to the killings.
"It's pretty bizarre stuff," Kolchak said. "But I don't believe he was delusional... It was part of his belief system."

People who believe in some Devilish supernatural being and worship him are Devil-worshippers, not Satanists. Anton LaVey was the first to define Satanism as a philosophy, and it is an atheist perspective. “Theistic Satanism” is an oxymoronic term and thus absurd. In Satanism each individual is his or her own god—there is no room for any other god and that includes Satan, Lucifer, Cthulhu or whatever other name one might select or take from history or fiction.
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason,,,One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.

According to this report, five-year-old Fernando Rios was blinded in a bizarre satanic ritual by his mother, aunt, two uncles and grandparents when he refused to close them as they attempted to summon the devil, calling on him to end the world and claim them for his own.
Neighbours disturbed by the screams and chanting investigated and discovered Rios, her sister and two brothers and her parents engaged in the ritual in the poor Nezahualcoyotl area near Mexico city.
A court heard the six danced and cavorted and were told to close their eyes so they didn’t look at the devil when he arrived. They then attacked the terrified boy for disobeying.

In general, the church believes that adult stem cell research is more scientifically and morally sound than that conducted on embryonic stem cells.
A 2008 directive from the Vatican argued that “the use of embryonic stem cells or differentiated cells derived from them – even when these are provided by other researchers through the destruction of embryos or when such cells are commercially available – presents serious problems from the standpoint of cooperation in evil and scandal.”
But my personal favorite has to be this one,

A newlywed couple charged in the stabbing death of a stranger they lured through a Craigslist ad offering companionship pleaded guilty to murder on Tuesday and face mandatory sentences of life without parole.
Miranda Barbour, 19, and Elytte Barbour, 22, had previously pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges that carried a possible death penalty upon conviction. They changed their pleas to guilty of second-degree murder at what was to have been a routine status conference in Northumberland County Court in Sunbury.
The Barbours married in North Carolina and moved to central Pennsylvania about three weeks before they met up with the victim, Troy LaFerrara, when he accepted her offer of companionship in exchange for money.

Northumberland County District Attorney Ann Targonski said Tuesday that the guilty pleas were the best possible outcome for the victim's family. Had the Barbours been sentenced to die, she said, "this matter would have dragged on for many, many years."
At the court hearing, LaFerrara's widow wept as the judge questioned Miranda Barbour about her plea. His sister, Holly LaFerrara, said the family was satisfied with the double plea deal.
"Our primary goal has been to ensure that the two killers never get out of prison," she told The Daily Item. "They will remain dangers to society as long as they live."

Two East Texas teenagers were indicted by a Nacogdoches County grand jury earlier this month for allegedly killing animals in a satanic type ritual.
Court documents show Delaney Walters, 18, and Mark Tyler Ainsworth, 17, will each face three cruelty to non livestock animal charges. The jury indicted them on the morning of June 6.
Once again Satanism is misrepresent in media. Performance of any type of ritualistic type killing goes against the core beliefs. Satanists are atheists, "the only people who perform sacrifices are those who believe in supernatural beings who would consider a sacrifice to be some form of payment for a request or form of worship. Since we do not believe in supernatural beings there is no reason for a Satanist to make a sacrifice of any sort."
These "children" are not Satanist by a long shot and any attempts to classify them as such should be met with resistance. "People who believe in some Devilish supernatural being and worship him are Devil-worshippers, not Satanists,,, In Satanism each individual is his or her own god—there is no room for any other god and that includes Satan, Lucifer, Cthulhu or whatever other name one might select or take from history or fiction."
"Satanism advocates that young people should spend time in self-exploration—discovering talents and developing them, as well as in exploring the world around you—the many philosophies and cultures that exist, so that you can use your freedom of choice wisely, and come to understand yourself."
They are definitely not candidates for membership in the Church of Satan!!
This request for a non-Christian invocation may sound insincere at first but Stevens does have a legitimate point, "“I just want equal billing."
Chaz Stevens, an activist and longtime annoyance to elected officials -- the same man who last Christmas successfully installed his "Festivus Pole" made of Pabst beer cans in the rotunda of the Florida State Capitol -- has written to the City of Deerfield Beach, asking that he be allowed to open a meeting with a Satanic prayer.
Asked about his change of religion, Stevens says, "At Christmas, I was a Pabstfestidian. It's legitimate -- it's based in as much reality as the Catholics. But unlike Catholic priests, we don't rape little boys."
He said he converted to Satanism because "Satan is a cool dude. Think of all the people he's in charge of. Do you want to be stuck listening to harp music in the afterlife? Hell no. I want to drink beer and hang with hookers."
In all seriousness, he says, "I just want equal billing. We allow various religious nutjobs to give a prayer. They pray to Jesus, who is make-believe; God, who is make-believe; why not Satan, who is make-believe? Why discriminate against one make-believe god over another? Satan and I are being circumvented. The City of Deerfield Beach has once again declared war on religion -- and this time it's Satanism."
No word yet as to whether his request has been approved or denied.
When we think about it – I mean, really think about it – there are many cultural prohibitions that are upheld today without sound logic as to why. We declare “It’s just wrong” foreclosing on reason sans rationale. Were one to openly admit that they were, for example, polygamous, a courtesan, or even polyamorous, it would more often than not cause awkwardness and a nebulous but overwhelming feeling that such a thing is “iniquitous”.

With there being so much misinformation out there concerning this organization, both my contrarian and inquisitive nature was piqued at the very thought of speaking to an individual within its ranks. This led to Magnus Peter Gilmore, High Priest of the Church of Satan, assigning Darren Deicide (CoS Warlock) to address my queries. So, I think a good place to start would be with a three-fold question: Why was your association named Church of Satan, who started this movement, and why?

Occult-related crimes are on the increase across Gauteng, and now police are warning parents to be on the lookout for the telltale signs that their children are dabbling in the dark arts.
The provincial Harmful Religious Practices (Occult Crimes) Unit of the SAPS said it had 78 occult-related enquiries in the past three months, 48 of which were connected to a crime.
Investigator Lieutenant-Colonel Hennie de Jager said his unit had seen an increase of occult-related crimes in Gauteng, particularly among black youth.
“Occult-related crimes are increasing, especially in black areas where boys and girls are promised fame and riches.”
He said his unit had recently received calls from parents who had told investigators their children were drinking blood.

The national head of the Harmful Religious Practices Unit, Colonel Attie Lambrecht, said he believed that the increase in occult-related crimes had to do with urbanisation, and greater access to smartphones and computers. He said Hollywood had its influence, too.
Lambrecht said people were turning to witchcraft in the hope of finding quick wealth.

Having been a representative of the Church of Satan through “The Satanic Panic” of the mid 80s-90s, I am well aware of the popular myth of the existence of “satanic cults” who ritually abuse people via acts of torture and murder. While leading journalists back then promoted this hysteria, when rigorous analysis—particularly by agents of law enforcement—was brought to bear, these claims proved untrue. Today, law enforcement is much more organized, particularly post 9/11, and I find it difficult to believe that a “killer cult” of any sort could be in operation before being noticed and their murderous members captured and prosecuted.
There have been isolated instances of small groups of people dabbling in devil worship who have committed murder. These cases often involved the use of illegal drugs as well as cobbled-together religious ideas that come primarily from horror films, video games or the literature produced by evangelical Christians. Their belief in Satan is a Christian one, seeing him as a real being demanding chaos, sacrifice and murder as forms of worship. The Church of Satan has never held that view as we consider both God and Satan to be fictional. Satan serves us as a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, much as he has for creative individuals such as Milton, Byron and Carducci. Mark Twain, a sharp observer of the human animal, also used Satan in this manner in his more controversial works.

It should come as no surprise that Satan has once again been chosen as a scapegoat, since criminals often seek to blame others for their actions and The Devil has historically been named as inspiring many acts deemed to be evil. However, we think it is crucial to understand that the philosophy of Satanism as codified by Anton LaVey is one that condemns murder and advocates that the perpetrators should be punished to the full extent of the law.

If Miranda Barbour is convicted in the murder of Troy LaFerrara and sentenced to death, Sonny Dean says he will hold the hand of LaFerrara’s widow as his daughter is executed.
Dean on Wednesday also said he believes his daughter may have been involved in one murder other than her alleged participation in the slaying of LaFerrara, the 42-year-old Port Trevorton resident who was fatally stabbed Nov. 11 in Sunbury.
Sunbury police accuse Barbour, 19, and her husband, Elytte, 22, in the killing.
Dean, speaking to the media for the first time since his daughter was arrested Dec. 3 in connection with the murder, said Miranda was a heroin addict, is the most manipulative person he knows and is a liar.
His daughter is not, he believes, a mass murderer.
A Tennessee woman told a reporter she had to kill her mother because of a satanic curse.
Police were investigating the stabbing of the 61-year-old victim at this apartment in Knox County Tuesday morning.
A neighbor of the victim said she believed the victim's daughter was responsible and while police and the press were still on scene.
The suspect Katie Nichols came up to a reporter and admitted she had to kill her mother because her mother was the ringleader of a satanic cult- and was trying to kill her granddaughter.
"The satanic cult in this city has been casting satanic spells on me for three, four days. I'm exhausted. I came home and found out my mom was the ringleader and was trying to kill my daughter," Nichols said. "I had to kill her; she was going to kill both of us. She was so powerful, I had no idea. I had no idea that my mother was that powerful."
Someone obviously has no clue what Satanism is or what they actually believe. A bunch of dabblers, IMHO, trying to be cool as the taking of life violates a general principle of the Satanic system of belief. Blood drawn from a victim is useless, victims are killed symbolically, not actually.
And sorry to say "the Satan" of Satanism has no similarity with the Christian concept of Satan. The Satanists' concept is pre-Christian, and derived from the Pagan image of power, virility, sexuality and sensuality. To almost all religious Satanists, Satan is a force of nature, not a living quasi-deity. There is no Hell, demons, pitchforks, sadistic torture, buying people's souls, demonic possession, yada yada.
Now that is my basic understanding of Satanism, overly simplified. What most people do not understand, just as there are different groups within Christianity, there are also different groups within Satanism (theistic as well as atheistic); as well as "sub-groups". [Two, that most will be familiar with, are the Satanic Temple - in the news lately for attempting to place a statue of Baphamet in OK near a Ten Commandments monument - and the Church of Satan (CoS).] To clarify my understanding, I contacted author and Reverend of the CoS, Corvis Nocturnum who explained, "that we [CoS] see the Devil solely as an archetype, a symbol and not a force (outside of the inner Nietzsche type of Will to Power).
So for this jackwad to say, "as part of her involvement in a satanic cult,' she has no clue as to what she is talking about. Exactly which group is she affiliated with? None that I know of would condone such actions. Just two sickos that need to be removed from the human population.

A Pennsylvania woman charged along with her newlywed husband in the murder of a man they met through Craigslist admitted to the slaying in a jailhouse interview with a newspaper and said she has killed more than 20 others across the country, claims police said they are investigating.
In an interview with The Daily Item in Sunbury, 19-year-old Miranda Barbour said she wants to plead guilty to killing Troy LaFerrara in November. She also said in the interview that she has killed at least 22 other people from Alaska to North Carolina in the last six years as part of her involvement in a satanic cult.
