So I ask you Mr Barton, where are these “verbatim” bible verses? I sure as hell cant find them!!

My first question Mr Perkins, how's it working out for Canada? They have had the Civil Marriage Act since July 20, 2005. Ten years longer than the US. The Netherlands’ legalized same-sex marriage in 2000. Are their experiments a failure as well? Or is your issue your bigotry is held in check by the 2015 Obergefell ruling?

While not the main gist of his little diatribe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MddfGUuNMME about Michelle Obama's new book soon to be released, this is so 2014. And Jarrin, two points. Christ was a Jew and Luciferianism IS NOT the same as your perverted notion of Satanism.

The basic Luciferian principles highlight truth and freedom of will, worshiping the inner self and one's ultimate potential, and to encourage and celebrate the same within all. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luciferianism

Before using big words, I would learn what they mean first.

What scares me, idiots like Fuentes vote. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSqxoRnPiJw Idiots like Fuentes get others like him to vote. I'd laugh at him but like many others he has a decent size audience.

And just so we're clear, everything he states is wrong. He would not find a single geologist that would agree with him.

Oh,,, and this shit about "We need to burn oil so that we can create a stronger atmosphere to keep carbon inside the atmosphere. This is all scientific." Sounds like MTG to me (or vice versa.) https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1536470234315513857

Another wannabe,,, Jake Oaks is running for county clerk in Utah

County, and he’s promising to deny same-sex couples marriage licenses if he gets elected. https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2022/07/county-clerk-candidate-promises-deny-gay-couples-marriage-licenses-elected/

His argument is that the state of Utah passed a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in 2004. A federal court overturned that ban in 2013, saying that it violated the due process and equal protection guarantees of the U.S. Constitution, and the Supreme Court refused to hear the state’s appeal.

Two years later, the Supreme Court legalized marriage equality across the country in the historic Obergefell v. Hodges decision. States respected that decision because of the Supremacy Clause, which says that federal law takes precedence over state law.

Oaks – who describes himself as self-taught when it comes to constitutional law – says that doesn’t apply to marriage rights since marriage isn’t spelled out in the Constitution, and the Tenth Amendment means that states are in charge of regulating marriage.

IOWs, Federal law supersedes the State. “All couples must be treated equally. Clerks cannot pick and chose which legal marriages they solemnize. It’s all or nothing.” https://kutv.com/news/local/utah-candidate-for-clerk-says-he-wont-grant-same-sex-marriage-licenses-county-clerk-state-constitution-controversary-equal-protection-republican-jake-oaks-supreme-court-gay-marriage-aaron-davidson

Tony Perkins Agrees '100 Percent' That Donald Trump Would Be Better For The LGBT Community Than Hillary Clinton | Right Wing Watch

I am just not sure what realm of reality Perkins and his ilk operate on.  This is coming as defense to a man who yesterday announced the most viral and vitriolic, anti-gay advisory board to support Trump on issues important to religious fucktards in America.
"What he was saying is no American, regardless of your political ideology or your life choices, should be living under the threat of a terrorist attack on the streets of the United States of America," Perkins said. "I agree 100 percent with that. No American, no American, which they are under Barack Obama, living in fear because of Islamic terrorists coming to this country; so yes, LGBT, Catholic, Protestant atheist — as one who wore the uniform as a United States Marine and was a police officer, no American, no American should live in fear and that is exactly what Donald Trump was saying and evangelicals believe the same thing."

January 22, 2016::End of the day round-up (pg 3)

Some excellent citation in the comments as well,,,

Glyphosate toxicity: Looking past the hyperbole, and sorting through the facts. By Credible Hulk
You may at some point have heard people speak of glyphosate as being “less toxic than caffeine or table salt.” What they’re referring to when they say that is what we call its LD50, which a standard way of quantifying acute toxicity. A substance’s LD50 is the dose at which 50% of the subjects who ingest that amount will die of complications from an acute overdose, and it is measured in units of mass of the substance per unit mass of the subject (usually mg/kg). See, one of the most fundamental principles in all of toxicology is that “the dose makes the poison,” which was famously coined by Paracelsus, the father of toxicology. Most substances have some amount beyond which they become toxic. Many substances that are benign, beneficial, or even essential to human health in one range of concentration will become harmful if taken in sufficiently large amounts. Even water can be toxic if you drink enough of it. So, you can’t just look at it as though there were some toxic things in the world and some non-toxic things, or that something that is toxic at one dose is bad in any dose, simply because that’s not how toxicology works.

Here you can find a very brief introduction to concepts in toxicology, but for now, suffice it to say that students are generally taught about three main types of toxicity: acute, chronic and subchronic.
,,,
However, that was only a matter of acute toxicity. Many opponents are willing to concede that the acute risks are fairly minimal, but they worry about the risks of long term low-level exposure. The EPA took that into account as well. The EPA dealt with this issue by setting maximum safe levels of residues called “tolerances.” The USDA tests crops each year to make sure that herbicide residues do not exceed the permitted tolerance levels. If any crops contain residue amounts higher than tolerance levels, the USDA reports the information to the FDA, who has the regulatory power to recall foods, levy fines and take other actions to prevent the foods from reaching consumers.

In case you’re wondering how these tolerances were arrived at, the EPA tested glyphosate on numerous animal species. They then used the result from the MOST sensitive species tested as the basis for setting the Reference Dose. The RfD represents the level at (or below) which daily aggregate dietary exposure over a lifetime will not pose appreciable risks to human health.
,,,
Another issue worth addressing is the recent IARC and WHO reclassification of glyphosate as a Class 2A carcinogen. The IARC classification process isn’t designed to serve as a statement on risk analysis, and for that reason, it did not take into account actual common usage practices. They placed glyphosate in the 2A category, which includes “probable” (albeit unconfirmed) carcinogens such as emissions from frying food, hairdresser products and burning wood. It mainly pertains to application protocols rather than minuscule trace amounts in food.

Consequently, banning glyphosate as a knee jerk reaction to its recent classification would be similar to never going out of the house in the daytime because sunlight is carcinogenic. Actually, it would be even less sensible because sunlight is in an even higher class of carcinogen than glyphosate. Think about it. It’s in the same classification as manufacturing glass, burning wood, emissions from high temperature frying, and work exposure as a hairdresser. Alcohol and sunlight are both higher on their carcinogen scale than glyphosate, and neither of those cause cancer with conservative exposure either.
Startling new finding: 600 million years ago, a biological mishap changed everything
If life is effectively an endless series of photocopies, as DNA is transcribed and passed on from one being to the next, then evolution is the high-stakes game of waiting for the copier to get it wrong.

Too wrong, and you’ll live burdened by a maladaptive mutation or genetic disorder. Worse, you might never live at all.

But if the flaw is wrong in exactly the right way, the incredible can happen: disease resistance, sharper eyesight, swifter feet, big brains, better beaks for Darwin’s finches.

In a paper published in the open-access journal eLife this week, researchers say they have pinpointed what may well be one of evolution’s greatest copy mess-ups yet: the mutation that allowed our ancient protozoa predecessors to evolve into complex, multi-cellular organisms. Thanks to this mutation — which was not solely responsible for the leap out of single-cellular life, but without which you, your dog and every creature large enough to be seen without a microscope might not be around — cells were able to communicate with one another and work together.
,,,
Prehoda and his colleagues began to look into what genes could be responsible for allowing the choanoflagellates to work together.

“We were expecting many genes to be involved, working together in certain ways, because [the jump to multi-cellularity] seems like a really difficult thing to do,” he said.

But it turned out that only one was needed: A single mutation that repurposed a certain type of protein. Instead of working as enzymes (proteins that facilitate reactions inside the cell) the proteins were now what’s known as an interaction domain. They could communicate with and bind to other proteins, a useful skill for cells that have decided to trade the rugged individualist life for the collaboration of a group. In the wild world of pre-complex life, this development was orders of magnitude better than Twitter for getting organisms organized. Every example of cells collaborating that has arisen since — from the trilobites of 500 million years ago to the dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and you — probably relied on it or some other similar mutation.
All of the Reasons Why Tom and Gisele's Diet Is Actually the Worst, Revealed
Campbell has managed to fit in every single piece of dietary insanity on the planet into one meal plan. It's borderline impressive how someone can cram so much non-scientifically based information, fear-mongering of healthy foods, and just plain old bullshit into one neatly tied, organically wrapped package. Yes, the diet may sound healthy, given that it's loaded up on fruits and vegetables. But it also cuts out so much food that it's composed of more air than fiber. Do you have to do all that to be healthy? Let's parse through this hodgepodge of dietary insanity.
,,,
Notice that Gisele was gorgeous and Brady won a few Super Bowls way before this glorified hipster took over the cooking duties in their household? It's because their abilities and looks have very little to do with his cooking as they were probably eating healthy diets before he showed up. Their diet now does sound fairly healthy, even if some of the more delicious things in life are removed. A diet loaded up on healthy grains, vegetables, fruits, and some lean meat sounds like a good one. However, the arbitrary rules are absolutely not necessary, and all it's doing is showing that they have a lot of money to throw around on turning food into a game.

How do you eat a healthy diet? The basic advice still stands. Get your fruits and vegetables (conventional, organic, frozen, and fresh are all fine). Whether you eat meat or not, get enough protein to support muscle growth and repair. Get enough carbs to fuel your activity level. If you're not sure how much of all of this you should eat, talk to your doctor and a registered dietitian, but not a chef who arbitrarily cuts out food groups.
Pat Robertson: Beware Satanic Rock Music That 'Summons Demons'
“It depends on what rock you’re listening to,” he said. “Some of the stuff is just evil. They used to talk about killing your parents and there were just some other things. There were odes to Satan. You don’t want that stuff coming into your mind. There’s some beat that’s out there that, you know, probably isn’t all that bad, although in one Indian context, they were playing rock music and the person said, ‘Why are you calling on the demons?,’ because that was the kind of music they used to summon demons.”

‘Repent’ the gay away: Wife of Mormon leader tells gays to pray for ‘sexual harmony’ with God
“When we are desperate to become the people we were born to be, our vision changes,” Nelson opined. “We see the Adversary’s temptations for what they really are: tricks to make us forget our true identity and our destination.”
“We may realize that a burden is holding us back,” she said. “That burden may be spiritual pain which always accompanies bad choices and unrepentant sin. The truth is that unrepentant sin is like a magnet for more sin. So if you need to repent, start now.”
,,,
“We each need the savior’s help to become the people we were born to be,” she insisted. “Perhaps we need the gift to have our sexual feelings be in harmony with eternal laws.”

“When we are desperate for any gift of the spirit, that is when we will finally pray with all the energy of heart for that gift,” she added. “I pray that this year that you will have some moments of anguishing desperation that will propel you further along the path to becoming the man or woman you were born to be.”

“Your true self is spectacular, never settle for less.”

Tony Perkins: 'Blood On Our Streets' Because Of Gay Marriage, Family 'Confusion'
“The promise of strong efforts these past seven years to restore fatherhood and reestablish family life in our poorest communities has faded completely,” he said. “Instead, national policies have sown confusion about the very definition of family. President Obama has extolled the virtues of fatherhood even as he has fought for same-sex marriage, in essence saying two same-gendered person can parent as well as a mom and a dad. This contradictory message is more than disappointing. For our children throughout the country, it is devastating. It reduces mothers and fathers to genderless caregivers. Our children deserve better: They deserve a mom and a dad.”

“And we pay a price for this incoherent, ideological campaign by havoc in our homes and blood in our streets,” he added. “That’s why we have to re-empower American parents. The decision of our courts on contraception for minors, abortion on demand and redefining marriage have gravely weakened the family.”

Your Worst Day Ever: David Avocado’s Himalayan Salt Debunked
Before I dig into this lineup, it’s of utmost importance to understand one of Wolfe’s key claims about his product. To wit: even though the salt contains only trace amounts of 84 elements, it’s their very presence that makes the product beneficial to your health, and it’s their removal during commercial salt processing that makes regular table salt “toxic“. Speak to us, oh wise one:
“In order to make table salt, natural salt is heated to high temperatures and cleaned chemically, reducing all the important minerals and leaving only sodium and chloride” –David Wolfe
Never mind that the salt you buy from Wolfe is still, by and large, nothing more than sodium chloride. He’s telling us that the mere presence of these 84 trace elements is important to our health. All of them. Uh oh.
Pass the Salt (But Not That Pink Himalayan Stuff)
In the latest issue of The New England Journal of Medicine, three new studies about the role of salt in cardiovascular disease were published. Instead of providing clear answers, they raise more questions. In a cute NEJM QuickTake cartoon video they summarize the findings of the studies. If you’d rather spend three minutes watching cartoons than reading my explanation, feel free.
,,,
None of this really sheds any light on what we should do as individuals. Should we continue asking “pass the salt?” Should we abstain from adding salt at the table? Should we read labels and monitor the total amount of salt in our diet? Should we aim for 3–5 g a day?

These studies found associations, but they couldn’t determine causes, and they did not even attempt to measure what would happen if people changed the amount of sodium and potassium in their diets. If anything, they suggest that existing guidelines for salt restriction for the general population may be too extreme.

They also suggest that “moderation in all things” and “eat your vegetables” are still good advice.
,,,
I found a website that reports the results of a spectral analysis of Himalayan salt. I think this is where the claim comes from. Even if this analysis is accurate, it is meaningless for health and if anything is worrisome. The amount of minerals in it is too minuscule to make any difference, and we already get plenty of the same trace minerals from other foods. They claim that two double-blind studies were done, but no such studies are listed in PubMed. There is no evidence published in peer-reviewed journals that replacing white salt with pink salt makes a shred of difference or leads to any improvement in health.
VA GOP Bill Would Require Inspection of Children’s Genitals
A state-level Virginia GOP politician (Del. Mark Cole) just proposed transphobic legislation dictating men, women and children must all use public restrooms correlating with their “correct anatomical sex.” Specifically, the legislation targets public schools where in order for the legislation to work, adults would be required to inspect children’s genitals before they use the bathroom.

HB 663 – otherwise known as “Use of restroom facilities; penalty” – defines anatomical sex as “the physical condition of being male or female, which is determined by a person’s anatomy.” Relating to schools, the bill would change current law by requiring:

Local school boards shall develop and implement policies that require every school restroom, locker room, or shower room that is designated for use by a specific gender to solely be used by individuals whose anatomical sex matches such gender designation. Such policies may also provide that a student may, upon request, be granted access, to the extent reasonable, to a single stall restroom or shower, a unisex bathroom, or controlled individual use of a restroom, locker room, or shower.
What You Need to Know About David Barton’s New Edition of The Jefferson Lies (Press Release)

Tuesday, January 12, 2016 - MRFF EXPOSES, DENOUNCES UNLAWFUL CHRISTIAN PROSELYTIZING IN U.S. ARMY::  Is Col. Hundley an active duty senior Army officer or an evangelical Christian missionary?
Apparently, Colonel Thomas Hundley can't figure out whether he's an active duty senior Army officer or an evangelical Christian missionary? Further, DoD can't seem to, likewise, decipher whether they are paying him to be one or the other. Where the hell is the adult supervision for senior, active duty officer, Constitutional compliance at DoD? Colonel Hundley has absolutely no business or authority under American law to be conflating his Army officer rank, title and position with his professed evangelical Christian faith. He's doing it with some pretty powerful helpers. Indeed, the DoD and the United States Army are unlawfully allowing him to concomitantly push or spread his religious faith to everyone over the internet and, especially, to his many subordinates. Well over 99% of DoD personnel are of lower rank than Colonel Hundley.
Five GOP Candidates To Join Pastor Who Says AIDS Is God's Punishment For Gay People
In yet another example of what the Religious Right’s recent focus on “religious liberty” is really about, five Republican presidential candidates are scheduled to speak this weekend at a “religious freedom” event hosted by a conservative pastor who has repeatedly declared that AIDS is God’s punishment for gay people’s “immoral act” and has called for a “class action lawsuit” against homosexuality.

Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina and Mike Huckabee are scheduled to join a “Free to Believe Broadcast” on Saturday, hosted by the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins and Vision America’s Rick Scarborough, two of the most outspoken anti-gay activists in the country.

Both, even while attempting to curtail the rights of LGBT people, have claimed that it is their rights that are being violated by the LGBT movement: Perkins has said that the supposed persecution of anti-gay Christians in America is inspiring ISIS, and Scarborough has declared that he is ready to burn to death in the fight against gay marriage.
,,,
Also appearing at the event will be Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver, who has warned that gay people seek to “groom” and “entrap” children, and David and Jason Benham, brothers who became Religious Right martyrs when they lost a TV show they were set to star in after their anti-gay activism came to light.

The minds of madness

Whoa! Obama Cracks Down on ‘Gay’ Sex
Why would Obama suddenly bring the hammer down on homosexual prostitution?

Maybe, in the wake of the Ashley Madison hack, he wants to get all the client information from this website in federal custody to protect the identities of his political and social friends who may be customers.

Or Obama believes, with homosexuality being the flavor of the year in the world of sexual abnormality, this is the moment to haul homosexual prostitutes into court and get some federal judge somewhere to rule that prostitution cannot be made illegal under the United States Constitution.

With no prayer of getting a bill legalizing prostitution through Congress, his best hope is the court system.

And his best chance to get the favorable ruling he wants, given the current cultural zeitgeist, is if the defendants in courts are homosexual prostitutes rather than heterosexual ones. What politically correct judge today would dare to rule against the sin of sodomy anywhere at anytime?

In other words, Obama is pursuing this action not because he wants to punish homosexual prostitutes but because he wants the Supreme Court to exonerate them.

Obama knows that this action will be challenged in court, and that when the appeal makes it to the Supreme Court, he can count on the Court’s five homosexual activists to rule that laws against money for sex are antiquated, outmoded, and so 18th century.
Cahn: America Will Experience Judgment, Anti-Christian Persecution For 'The Institutionalization Of Sin'
"What happened at the end of June was a tectonic event," Cahn said. "It was culture changing, it was a paradigm shift with profound ramifications, not only concerning marriage but for America's future. Not only America's future, but concerning persecution, concerning society, law, education, apostasy, and even judgment."

"It represents the breaking of nothing short of the order of God," he continued. "If anything represents the disregarding of the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven has ordained, it is this, what just happened. It represented a profound rejection of the nation's Judeo-Christian foundation and the Word of God on which this nation was initially built. An officially post-Christian nation or even an anti-Christian nation. It is the institutionalization of sin, and when that happens, persecution happens."

Perkins: Obama Shook His 'Fist In The Face Of God' With White House Rainbow Light Display
“What struck me was that on the eve of this Supreme Court decision, on June the 26th, if you watched the news you saw that the president had bathed the White House in the colors of the so-called gay pride,” he said. “The parallel between the pride of Uzziah and the pride of our national leader shaking his fist in the face of God was stark and alarming.”

Like the priests in Chronicles, he said, American pastors today have the duty to stand up to such heresy, even if it means going to jail, which he said is possible.
,,,
He urged pastors to “encourage your people to stand firm in the faith” even when that means facing a “reverse religious test” in which they aren’t allowed to use their religious beliefs as a reason to discriminate against LGBT people in the public square.
Religious Crackpots Interpret Cool “Blood Moon” Eclipse as Sign of the Apocalypse
In addition to dubiously lining up with Jewish mystical numerology, the eclipse and full moon will coincide with the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Also known as the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot is a fairly lighthearted festival in which Jews build and decorate temporary shelters and celebrate the harvest. Astronomer Alan Gilmore says it’s not a big surprise that this dramatic full moon will appear during Sukkot, since the Jewish calendar is lunar.

Some of Christianity’s wackier elements have been predicting gloom and doom in the wake of the blood moon for years, especially since this eclipse will be the fourth of a “tetrad” of similar eclipses that have occurred over the past year and a half. On Twitter and YouTube, crackpots are connecting the series of eclipses to the recent stock market instability or fretting that Pope Francis‘ visit to the United States during the blood moon is part of an Antichrist conspiracy.

The most notable end times nut job to set his sights on this month’s cool astronomical event is Pastor John Hagee, who preaches that this month’s completion of the tetrad fulfills a Biblical prophecy.
Christians warned to pull kids from public school
Imagine an America in which all children are educated according to biblical, Christian principles instead of modern, secular, liberal values.

Chaplain E. Ray Moore (Lt. Col. USAR Ret.), such a scenario is not just possible, but essential if Christians wish to reclaim the American culture.

“We take the position at the Exodus Mandate that the Scripture and sound theology teach that the education of children belongs to the family and the church or private associations, not government,” said Moore, the founder and president of Frontline Ministries, Inc. and director of the Exodus Mandate Project. “We don’t believe that government, even at the state level, has any role in K-12 education, and the Scriptures are clear and explicit on this. There’s no wiggle room.”

In order to wake Christian parents up to the dangers of public schools, Exodus Mandate has released a new documentary called “Escaping Common Core: Setting Our Children Free.”
Glenn Beck Does Double Take as David Barton Says Third Great Awakening Has Started
I think this is — I think we’re at the beginning. I flew back with David Barton yesterday. And David said, just matter-of-factly, he said, we’re in the awakening. And I said, I leaned up and I said, hold on. What did you just say. And he said, we’re in the awakening. And I said, the third great awakening? And he said, oh, yeah. I truly believe it’s happening now. That’s great that’s great. He’s the one that told me about the great awakening. He’s like, we need the great awakening to happen. And we had people of all different faiths walking together.

David Barton Doubles Down on His Gender Identity Nonsense

Throckmoeton makes a very pertinent point right form the get go, " I want you to remember that at least two men running for the GOP presidential nomination (Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee) take Mr. Barton seriously and encourage others to do the same."  I would also add that this is a man whose "lies" are also influencing educational policy in one of the largest states in the country.
Now, Right Wing Watch discovered that Barton is telling evangelicals (click the link for the audio) that the military can’t discharge soldiers for bestiality and/or pedophilia.
“There’s 82 official gender identities now and they all have equal status and protection here,” Barton said, “so we’re talking pedophiles. If you’re a military member and you have an inclination for young children, you can’t be kicked out of the military for that anymore because that is your gender identity. If you are into having sex with animals, bestiality, that is one of the 82 gender identities, you cannot be kicked out for your lack of judgment and your very perverse taste on that.”
If Barton protests that he is only talking about inclinations, then he is making things up just to generate unfocused outrage. You never could be kicked out of somewhere for thinking something unknown to anyone but yourself.
First off, the government doesn’t protect criminal acts.  And second. pedophilia and bestiality aren’t even gender identities.

Wash, Rinse and Repeat

This is the same dude that said that Jeb Bush is "unworthy" to even be a nominee,,,
South Dakota Tea Party activist Bob Ellis railed against a federal court’s decision to strike down his state’s ban on same-sex marriage today, arguing in a BarbWire column that gay people simply aren’t suited for marriage.

Just like an aspiring fireman has to fulfill certain requirements before getting job, gay people have not met the requirements for marriage, Ellis explains: “You don’t get to call yourself a fireman just because you want to be one.” The anti-gay commentator also likens marriage equality for gay couples to passing off fake currency as real money.

After all, Ellis writes, “less than 3% of the population self-identifies as homosexual,” so they aren’t eligible to the same rights as others.
GOP Rep: Gays And Obama Attacking Society, Bringing America Down
Before posting a bizarre tweet linking President Obama to Adolf Hitler, Rep. Randy Weber appeared on “Washington Watch” with Craig James of the Family Research Council to promote his anti-gay State Marriage Defense Act. The Texas Republican told James that President Obama and the gay community are launching an attack against traditional American values in order to bring the country down.

“We live in tough times, our society is under attack,” Weber said while criticizing the recent string of court victories for gay couples seeking marriage rights.

He said he hoped that Sen. Ted Cruz, the legislation’s sponsor in the Senate, would push for a vote to send the bill to the White House and expose “Barack Hussein Obama’s” anti-American agenda,,,
Tony Perkins Links Gay Rights Supporters To Charlie Hebdo Assailants
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins has compared conservatives in the U.S. to the victims of Nazi Germany and ISIS, claiming that LGBT equality advocates are channeling the two groups in their purported persecution of their political opponents. So now, naturally, Perkins is comparing U.S. conservatives to the victims of the terrorist attack on the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris.
,,,
“Look. What happened there in Paris was designed to intimidate and silence,” he said. “What happened here in Georgia, it wasn’t terrorists, it was a mayor; it wasn’t a gun he fired, but it was the chief he fired. And the intent was the same. It was to silence and to intimidate people of faith.”
Like Chief Cochran, other Bible-believing Christians such as myself hold no hatred toward homosexuals, or toward all people who choose to live their lives their way. And yet, if you believe in biblical truth, the thought police will brandish you as a "hater."

For the sake of America's future, please do not try to marginalize or destroy those whose only crime is following the clear commands of God. By all means, you should be free to disagree, even vehemently. In fact, I will defend your right to disagree with God's Word.

But to terminate someone's employment and deprive them of their livelihood? That is something worthy of ISIS. Members of ISIS may chop off the heads of Christians, but to chop off someone's voice or identity originates from the same desire for control through cruelty.
Beck: Our Founding Principles Require That Christianity Receive Preferential Treatment
"We are clearly a Judeo-Christian nation," he said while warning that society has now begun to "coddle those who disagree with Judeo-Christian values."

"We are becoming openly hostile to our own foundation," Beck said. "We have tolerated and excused and embraced the ideals that are in direct opposition to our founding principles."
Ron Paul Is Just Asking The Question: Was The Charlie Hebdo Attack A False Flag Operation?
In an appearance today on the Newsmax show “Midpoint,” former congressman Ron Paul defended a conspiracy theorist’s article published on the Ron Paul Institute’s website this week suggesting that the attack at Charlie Hebdo’s offices, along with 9/11, was an American false flag operation designed “to cow France and place France back under Washington’s thumb.”

According to Paul, neither he nor the author believe that the Charlie Hebdo attack was actually a false flag.

Instead, Paul claimed, the author was just asking the question and “determined to try to get truth out” about the attacks, and since he was just asking the question, he shouldn’t be held responsible for the contents of the allegations.
Mike Huckabee: Support The Fair Tax Because 'Giving Proportionately Is Biblical'
After lamenting that America is no longer a place where women who use profanity are considered to be "trash," Huckabee made his case for the "fair tax," which is a proposal to scrap all federal taxes and replace them with a 30% tax on consumption, because that is what is biblical.

"I believe in the biblical understanding of stewardship," Huckabee said. "Everybody should have something invested. God doesn't say, 'Oh, you're too poor, don't give anything.' He says, 'Everyone give a tithe.' ... I'm telling you something, giving proportionately is biblical."

Huckabee added that an additional bonus of the fair tax is that "we would get rid of the I.R.S.."

"They would be gone," he said. "Done forever and forever!"

Tony Perkins: No Religion In Government, Unless It's My Religion | Right Wing Watch

“Natural law, which is what the founders recognized and built upon, that’s why the issue of abortion has not been settled, because it runs counter to natural law,” he said. “Natural law, which as Christians we would make reference to, as Paul said in Romans 2, it’s written on the hearts of men. Natural law says it’s not right for a mother to kill her unborn child. That’s why regardless of what the courts said, nine unelected judges, regardless of what they’ve said, the issue has not been resolved and it won’t be resolved. And the same is true for marriage, I don’t care what a court rules, I don’t care what a judge says, the issue of marriage, because it emanates from natural law, from creation, it’s going to be here and it will be an issue politically from here until as long as I’m alive.”

It’s odd for Perkins to criticize Islam for having “a judicial philosophy, an economic philosophy” at the same time as he is explicitly advocating for public policy to correspond to his own religious views. Perkins also believes that Jesus Christ preached capitalism, a claim he outlined in an article for CNN’s Belief blog, and the FRC regularly rails against judges whom they believe defy biblical precepts.

Perkins may also want to take issue with the Family Research Council’s favorite pseudo-historian, David Barton, who believes that “biblical principles” should be involved in economics and the judiciary: “You apply those principles to economic systems, you apply it to educational systems, you apply it to family systems, you apply it to governmental systems, judicial systems.”
I find the last point interesting. The Reich has become such a juggernaut that the right-hand doesn't seem to know what the left-hand is saying. Is it a case of egos becoming to large and staking claim to what they feel is their place in history? Or is it simply they have no clue what they're speaking about?

Cry me a river,,,

I have posted concerning many of the incidents refereed to previously, Boys doesn't let facts get in his way.
So You Don’t Think There’s a War on Christians?
Christians are not wimps, whiners, and weepers; but that has been an accusation made by atheists when we complain about the attacks against us and our beliefs. Those attacks multiply this time of year. We are told that there is no war–that we are too sensitive and should keep quiet and go back to our hot chocolate huddles in our church basements.

But our critics are wrong. There is a concerted effort to hurt our effectiveness, hinder our efforts, and halt our evangelism. Those attacks usually come from heathens, homosexuals, and humanists.
Barber: Non-Discrimination Policies Are Discriminatory Against Christians
"It's an excuse to discriminate against Christians," Barber said of such non-discrimination policies, "that's all it is and it's stupid. It's just plain stupid. Imagine going to the African American organization on your campus and saying that you have to allow an open, avowed white supremacist as the leader of this African American organization, maybe a student branch of the NAACP. That is no different than what we are talking about here, but because it's Christians, and this is the truth, really the last group here in the United States that is fair game, that is an open target for discrimination such as this are Christians":
One problem Matt, MLK and Rosa Parks were fighting to gain rights, you and your ilk are trying to to take them away by implementing theocratic law based "your" beliefs.  Also, please cite a case or cases in the US where a Christian has been tried, convicted and sentenced to prison for being a Christian.  I figure that since you're such a legal scholar you would know.
“Where would the civil-rights movement be if Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. voluntarily went home when he faced opposition?” asked Staver. “Where would we be today if Rosa Parks had voluntarily moved to the back of the bus? The quest for religious freedom was the reason American was born. We cannot voluntarily give up this unalienable right,” he said.
Conservative lawyer and pundit Larry Klayman, who has for years dreamed of overthrowing President Obama with a popular uprising or a military coup, dedicates his first WorldNetDaily column of the new year to outlining the reasons to “rid the nation of the evil emperor in the White House” in 2015.

Klayman describes Obama as a “truly evil” leader who is “more dangerous than the terrorists themselves” and predicts that the U.S. will see a “massive epidemic” of Ebola in 2015 as a result of the president’s policies inviting “suicide terrorists” to “infect themselves and sneak into our country with the disease.” He adds that immigration reform will lead to a crime wave while the president and his allies launch an all-out race war.

“Once their job is complete, these treacherous traitors will be free to snuff out all remaining vestiges of freedom and erect their form of socialist dictatorship permanently,” he predicts.
Phyllis Schlafly: Introduce Male Quotas And End Student Loans To Reduce Female College Enrollment
Distraught that women are outpacing men in college enrollments, Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly took to WorldNetDaily this week to float the idea that colleges should enforce a gender quota to even out admissions to the benefit of men. Responding to a 2010 New York Times article, Schlafly wondered if colleges should set male admissions quotas to ensure that student bodies are “half women and half men.”

Another proposal Schlafly put in the mix is to “stop granting college loans, thereby forcing students to take jobs to pay for their tuition and eliminate time for parties, perhaps even wiping out time for fraternities and sororities.”

Schlafly also called for colleges to stop enforcing Title IX, which prevents sex discrimination in education, as a way to attract men, alleging that the anti-discrimination measure “removes a primary motivation for young men to go to college, many of whom want to try out for a sport even if they are not good enough to make the team.”

All of this, the right-wing activist insists, would actually benefit women because it would give them more available men to date.

Not sure whether to laugh or cry (and that is ignoring the spelling and grammar). Honey child, I'm gay and atheist and I know my bile; I hardly think you know the mind of your God either.
Cook has taken a page out of the playbook of homosexual activists, LaBarbera alleges, specifically from homosexual activists who use theology to rationalize their sin.

"But in doing so they're attacking and assailing the character of God Hmself," says Labarbera.

There is also the issue of Cook's claiming knowledge of God and the Bible, since many homosexuals are also atheists who would mock a straight person who made religious claims about normal sexuality.

Even though Cook claimed he was "proud" of his homosexuality, The Washington Post noted that he "neverly explicitly addressed his sexual orientation," even when he was asked about it by reporters.
Another nut-job to keep our eyes on,,,
Dutch Sheets, a leader among the New Apostolic Reformation's ever-growing cavalcade of self-proclaimed modern-day apostles, reveals that God is calling upon him and other right-wing Christians to focus their attention and activism upon taking control of the government in 2015.

"The Lord has confirmed to me that the door to the governmental arena — and to Washington DC, specifically — is again wide open," Sheets wrote recently in a column posted on his website. "This invitation to cross the threshold back into the sphere of governmental intercession has not only been extended to me, but to the entire body of Christ."
Spiritual warfare, demons and the Muslim in chief,,,oh my.
Perkins, who has previously called gay rights advocates pawns of Satan, agreed with Hector’s claim that conservatives like themselves are engaged in a spiritual war against demonic forces. He then added that President Obama is permitting the violent persecution of Christians outside of the U.S. in places like Iran and North Korea because his domestic social policies show “hostility” to religion.
,,,
“Tyrants abroad see an administration that is not only not interested in protecting religious freedom but actually persecuting, like we saw with the mayor there in Atlanta firing the fire chief because he believes in biblical morality and dares speak about it,” he said. “And if you and I tolerate that religious intolerance from the secular left, the rabid secular left, then Christians are going to die abroad.”
What we have seen to this point is federal funding for abortions (despite promises to the contrary), amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, open homosexuality in the military, women in every aspect of combat, the undermining of traditional marriage, a steady assault on religious liberty, universal health care and rationing of essential treatment for older Americans, and dozens of other imperious policies. When Barack Obama was a candidate for the highest office in 2008 and after, he promised to “fundamentally transform” this nation. Now we see what he had in mind. History tells us that nations before us have grown weak and faded away, usually related to poor leadership. Is this where our President is leading us?

Tony Perkins Regrets Direct Election Of Senators Because It Led To Gay Marriage | Right Wing Watch

Having voters instead of state lawmakers elect senators, Perkins lamented, “had a drastic impact upon judicial appointees that the Senate has signed off on that overturned state laws, like we’ve seen this rash of overturning these state marriage amendments, that never would’ve happened if these senators who approved these judges were still held accountable to state legislatures.”
If you think he is kidding about wanting to eliminate the 17th Amendment, he is not. It goes back to what I wrote in regards to the Hobby Lobby decision:

When one looks at the decision rendered by SCOTUS it has to be through the lens of the Reich's overall agenda - starting with a "reformed" interpretation of the Free Exercise Clause or an outright repeal of the First Amendment, continuing with the abolition of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, ending with the implementation of dominionist ideology in order to govern by theocratic control. With the ruling in Hobby Lobby, the Reich will "now" be able to exempt themselves from any laws that they don’t like; that they find “religiously objectionable.”
We already know that voting rights are under attack by the Reich, this would just be another weapon in their arsenal. Pay particular attention to what he says about judicial appointments. That is their endgame:
Not a single justice appointed by either President Bill Clinton or President Barack Obama sided with Hobby Lobby. It was indeed only the justices appointed by socially conservative presidents who voted to keep women trapped in a bygone era. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, because both sides of the aisle have been saying for the last few election cycles how important it is with our aging Supremes to have someone in the position to nominate justices of an ideological bent they agree with, and the proof of that concept is in Citizens United, McCutcheon v. FEC, and now the Hobby Lobby case. These narrow decisions will have a lasting impact on American society, and they are decisions made by men who have not been in power for decades in some cases, a half decade in one case.

Reich, Reich baby,,,

What a dolt,,,
Sorry, Glenn Beck: The Apple Logo Is Not A Secret Salute To Alan Turing
Glenn Beck received an advance copy of "The Imitation Game," the new film about Alan Turing's effort to crack the Nazi Enigma code during World War II and his eventual suicide after he was prosecuted for being gay, which was a crime at the time.
On his radio program today, Beck raved about the film, seizing upon the legend that Turing had taken his life by eating an apple laced with cyanide which, Beck claimed, has been secretly immortalized in the logo for Apple, which consists of an apple with a bite taken out of it.
"That's a salute to Alan Turning," Beck said. "Nobody knows that. Nobody knows that ... Isn't that amazing?"
Just what we need, a Barton clone,,,
Georgia’s Republican soon-to-be Representative Barry Loudermilk of Georgia, who was endorsed by none other than David Barton, probably because Loudermilk repeats Barton verbatim at every opportunity, appeared on Washington Watch with Josh Duggar to tell Georgians that he will fight the good fight against people who think they have a right to ruin Christmas by not being Christians like everybody else. Yes, what Mikey Weinstein says of the military chaplaincy is true of the U.S. House of Representatives true, that it “has been transformed largely into a clearing-house for evangelizing zealous zombies”:
Ten Commandments Judge: City ‘Foolish’ for Allowing Atheist, Wiccan Prayers at Council Meetings
Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, also known as the Ten Commandments Judge, is reprimanding the city of Huntsville for its prayer policy at city council meetings, which allows for atheists and Wiccans to lead the invocation.

“We’re having prayers [by] atheists? We’re having Wiccans say prayers? How foolish can we be?” he stated before the Madison County Republican Men’s Club this past week, according to AL.com.

Moore said that this shift away from Christianity is hand-in-hand with other controversial attempts to “change what doesn’t need to be changed” in America, such as the push for societal acceptance of homosexuality and the defense of transgenderism, also called gender confusion.

“I’ll say this in Huntsville because I think it needs to be said in Huntsville,” he stated. “There is one God and it’s the God on which this nation was founded. And it’s the God of the Scriptures. I don’t need applause for that. It’s a truth in history and it’s a truth in law. And we’re trying to change that.”
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus insists that the GOP’s opposition to marriage equality must be “draped in the concepts of grace, love and respect” … and what better way to show it than partnering with two radical anti-gay groups to send 168 RNC members to Israel.

Priebus is working with David Lane, founder of the American Renewal Project, and the American Family Association to organize a week-long trip to Israel for committee members, paid for by Lane’s group and the AFA. Sen. Rand Paul and Gov. Rick Perry have previously traveled to Israel on tours sponsored by Lane, who also joined Mike Huckabee’s recent European tour.
Sorry to say, but life is not a game of football. And, if "God" is the one writing history, he has a lot of explaining to do. I wouldn't be proud with all the hatred and death that has occurred just in my short 50 years on this floating piece of space rock. Just shows how low the morals and ethics of the Reich have truly sunk.
After predicting that President Obama "more than any president in the history of this country, will be recorded in history as undermining the culture and the fabric and foundation of this country," Perkins likened the Vatican event to receiving a motivational pep talk during halftime at a football game, declaring that anti-gay activists are now "ready to go back out on the field and win the game."

"This was a moment to step back and get it into perspective of world history, human history, and say 'you know what? We are on the winning side,'" Perkins said. "This idea that we're on the wrong side of history; no, we're on the side of the one who wrote history and we will prevail in this":
